Dear Moderators
I was recently Notified by Thomas Cook that they are No longer Flying From Newcastle to Sanford in early 2005 and that because of the economic climate it has been nesaccery to change carriers they are sorry for the inconveniance this may cause as we had booked premier class and the carrier is now Excell we have been told that Excell do not have a premier class section and that we would be entitled to a refund which would be knocked off the final price. When we booked my wifes sister and husband along with their two kids decided because of the cost they would just go economy and wife and i would go premier. Now we have received a letter telling us of such changes but not her she has heard nothing there were two booking refrences one for her and one for us with different numbers on booking forms so we have now got two invoices. Our dates of travel are 28 July until 11 Aug.
Sisters work friend is going out on the 14 Aug and she also is going with Thomas Cook and she also has heard NOTHING?
can you help clarify our predicament as i am a large guy and in a quandry would not fit in an economy normal seat i also have been told that if i were to cancell then because of the party size we would cancell free but the wifes sister would have to pay £160 per person HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP?
If you read the T&C's at the back of the Thomas Cook brochure there should be a section regarding changes made by the TO.
Those who haven't yet been advised should contact their travel agent for clarification.

thanks Bismark
Thomas Cook have the right to change the carrier at any time, read the Terms in the brochure
It sounds like both partys are being told different things by Thomas Cook and is causing confusion.
my friend and i had also paid for extra leg room seats on the tcx flight but this has also been credited back to us along with our measely £15 compensation each for change of accom.
i've been looking on excel airways web site as our new confirmation shows thats our airline as well. there planes do seem a lot nicer than what we were expecting, even standard seats have more legroom than most other airlines offer. but they haven't got the florida flight on the schedule out of newcastle yet.
if however the flight does actually go with excel you can book extra legroom and other services if available on the flight out of newcastle, this can be done from 3 months until 3 days prior to departure via there customer services.
0870 1677 747 this is their pre departure customer services number.
anyway, hope when everyone gets to florida they have a good time, i can't wait, it really will be worth all the changes when we get there
