Yes a double drop is starting off at Manchester and picking up at Gatwick. I too am again flying with them in February with extra leg room seats booked and paid for, only because it has already been booked before this fiasco. I asked the girl on the phone if they would be calling me again 5 weeks before I flew with them to tell me that there are no extra leg room seats left, she couldn't answer my question!

Redstingers - will FC be giving you a refund for the extra legroom seats already paid for this time, I think not :duh where has that money gone then?

Have been in touch with the company who we have booked flights with, and we have now been offered flights for the following day with Monarch (Sat evening 6.00pm), no mention of extra costs about this.
Just need to confirm with 2 others travelling with us and we will accept.
Next thing is to get in touch with the hotel and let them know if we are ok to arrive (and leave) a day later, if the last day means booking-in else where for 1 night then so be it, lets hope all goes ok from now and no more problems...
Good luck to others with the changes, don't give in - Goa is waiting !!
Spike.

This seems to have been a real mess for you guys this year, i hope they get things sorted out properly for 2009/2010 and that you can put it all behind you when you arrive here on these sunny shores.

Saw the owner of Ryan Airways on tv this morning talking about profits down, but still making money for them. Also when asked about the state of the airline trade he said he expected at least another 5 or 6 to go down the pan this year...
Spoke to a friend of a friend who has a time share in Goa, and booked flights with Monarch to go out in late November, after booking to fly from Manchester he was then told they were switching to Gatwick, so he booked train tickets and overnight hotel, and then 3 weeks later he is told it is back on to fly from Manchester !!

Hi Spike

I feel for your friend, you would normally say this is a joke, but it is no joke it is a total B***s up.

Changes have been made to flight number TCX67K departing LGW 22nd November at 20.05.....nothing too serious, however they are now operating an Iberworld aircraft for this flight (not sure about others). Seat pitch change from 33 to 31 :cry Good news is that flight number and timings remain the same so I will still be there for the wedding :D I got really worried when I saw "amendment to your travel arrangements" PHEW :tup

Having read around the web a bit it appears Iberworld isn't well supported by its customers (generally). Also if anyone has booked premium cabin upgrade, better check that you still have it because it might not be available. I know it would "pee" me off if I had paid for something which is no longer available so those of you who may be in this position, please check. Fizz

We are on the same flight this Saturday coming TCX67k its our first time in Goa so yes we found it unnerving at this late stage also , we also received a letter from Thomas Cook yesterday (actually received three letters all at once stating the same thing.) Iam going to check tomorrow if our extra baggage allowance we paid for at the time of booking still applies will not be happy if it doesnt (didnt make it clear on the letter). Just hope there are no other changes. I have also looked at the web about Iberworld and you are right, generally the airline is not well supported by its customers. Still as long as we get there on the same date and time that o.k I suppose.

Don't know if this applies to you Loulouyellow but my letter says that if you are travelling on a Thomas Cook Select holiday your extra luggage allowance is still confirmed. You do need to take your invoice as proof and produce it at check in though. Sadly this is not me I have got the 15kg hold + 5kgs hand. Hope your's turns out okay. Fizz

Hi Fizz , Thanks for the reply I went to the travel agents yesterday and they assured me that as long as we take our invoice there wont be a problem with the extra baggage allowance we paid for. Loulou yellow.
