When I book a holiday I have done hours and hours of research first to make sure I've got the best deal. I find that there are huge variations in prices for the same hotel room on the same dates. Many folks will think that booking directly with the hotel will automatically cost more than the other booking sites. While this is often the case, it is always worth checking. I have finding more and more that booking directly with the hotel is a lot cheaper. Today I have booked an airport hotel in Mumbai which cost £59 through Accor, the hotel's website. The best I could find elsewhere only matched it, and the most extreme quote was £151

Now- who on earth is going to book that??
And of course, I used quidco and I have 7.5% cashback coming my way
So, explore all options and don't assume that one way of booking is always the best.
