Hi,
The big one near linekars. The other one in Torviscas has changed its name now to the wigan arms, not sure if it has opened yet but will be by christmas
ok thanks, I might give it a try.
Considering booking for Tenerife Christmas 2007/New Year, separate flight and paying the hotel directly. Does anybody have any idea how much it would be for B&B in a good 4/5 star hotel in Las Americas, also is everywhere open as usual on Christmas Day for lunch/dinner? Any recommendations please?
Thanks in advance.
Your best bet is to book Self Catering Apartments. Two of the best websites Ive found are Daltonsholidays & ownersdirect. You can book direct with the owner which often works out cheaper. It also give you a huge choice of type of apartment basic/luxury and location etc. We have been at New Year for the last 7 years and find this the best way.
We also book with ownes direct for accom lots of choice and prices are good.
we would like to go for Christmas, what is Tenerife like then, the weather? is everything open? do they decorate? any good hotels that do B&B then ,and can we get a Christmas lunch?
Dawn
yes you can get a full dinner at a lot of places.
yes almost all bars (except the scrooges) decorate.
weather this xmas was great...... and very busy evrywhere, the bottom line is if you want to go away for xmas...... you wont go far wrong here!!!
Thanks hairyhamster we can't wait to go back.
We've booked to go for Christmas (first time at Christmas), so really looking forward to it. We're staying at the Vulcano B&B. The Vulcano website is springhoteles.es or dot com (one of those anyway). It will give you an idea of prices for B&B. I think you would be needing to book pretty quickly.
Regards.
Elaine.
We have been to Tenerife for Xmas and New year for the last 6 years and love it. The atmosphere is really good, its busy, there are decorations etc everywhere and most of all its warm!!!
I would suggest you book as eealry as possible package deals tend to be quite expensive we usually book flights and apts spearate, I would suggest checking apartment availabilty first as there seem to be plenty of flights available but we always struggle to find apartments (probably due to demand for this period) Hope this helps
We're going to Tenerife this year for Christmas/New Year and was wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere to have dinner on Christmas evening? Playa de las Americas area, Mare Nostrum, or within 20 mins walking distance.
Thanks!
How about the bistro in los cristianos, barry and mike will make you most welcome, but you will have to book early. You can find there website here.
We are flying out on 21st December for 2 weeks, spent hours looking on the Internet for the best deal! Booked around 3 months ago and could not get an apartment for 2 in the area we wanted (bordering Los Cristianos) through Daltons Holidays, Holiday Rentals etc as all booked up! I then started looking for B & B. We also looked at the Vulcano booking directly through the hotel, but I eventually booked La Siesta through TravelRepublic as it was about 200 quid cheaper. You can also uprade to half board for about £70 more, but we enjoy going out for a meal at night and the husband is a very fussy eater so I didn't bother.
