:) Last August overnight flight but warm....wore denim skirt (knee length), sandals (for foot sweeling!) t-shirt and denim jacket. Asked for a blanket as soon as got on the plane!!

thats the problem isn't it! - you get dressed ready for the warm air on arrival and freeze on the plane because of the air conditioning!!

:) Yes, and they often don't have enough blankets to go round....

Trainers (take them off on the plane and wiggle toes), vest and ¾length crop pants, put on a zip-hoody or fleece at home and then stuff it in your bag when the plane lands! That's we we always do wherever we travel, and same coming home. Got caught out coming home from blazing hot Spain last August in shorts and vests - turned out to be monsoon season back in Manchester and we had to wait in the car park for our taxi, because the private-hire firms aren't allowed to pick up from the main doors :x Got absolutely soaked, and then the motorway flooded... but that's another story...

Lol i always wear a tracksuit on the plane and take the top off when i arrive there.

I think they should gradually raise the temperature on the plane until it reaches the outside temperature at the airport, mind you it's one of my holiday moments when you get to the door and the heat hits you,

It is difficault to choose what to wear on the plane. Sometimes the plane can be really hot and sometimes you can be freezing. Last time I asked for a blanket and they had run out. We are flying in the evening on Friday. I might put my beach towl in my hand lugggage incase I am cold.

I tend to take a fleece jacket, then if I have a window seat I put it by the wall of the aircraft as I always find that cold. On arrival I hang it over my carry on bag.

I usually wear the 3/4 lenghth shorts with a t-shirt and a hoodie, when we arrive and get the case I put my hoodie in the case before we get on the coach to whereever we are going!

Same here 3/4 trousers, strappy top and jacket, Jacket gets tied around my waist when we land.

gail................

Same here,3/4 length jeans t-shirt and hooded top as its always freezing on the plane then as soon as we land top goes around the waist or in the bag.
Its the best feeling in the world when they open the plane doors and you step outside into the sun........Can't wait.
Always make the mistake of coming back in a short skirt and t-shirt because its so hot when wew leave only to freeze to death when we land back into Manchester!!!!....doesn't matter what month or time we land back its always raining and blowing a gale.......

I normally wear crop lightweight trousers with a laggy waist for comfort and sleeveless top/shirt and sandals. DH usually wears long shorts and a T-shirt with trainers, kids wear T-shirts and shorts and sandals - usually take cardi's for the kids for the flight.
Reply
Usually either long cotton pants or cropped pants and a strappy top, with fleece type jacket / cardi which gets shoved in a bag after the flight. Agree with everyone else, the fantastic feel when the pilot gives you the temp at the destination airport is the first high, then the second one is when they open the door and you step out into the lovely heat.... oooohhhh getting all excited now and I have another 8 weeks to go

I'm wearing a cotton jogging suit and a t shirt, and packing a sweater in my hand luggage. And as it's a long haul to cuba, we get a blanket each, then on arrival, I'm just wearing the t shirt and trousers, as the mozzies are bad there at the airport.

I always like to wear elaticated 3/4 trousers for travelling .I drink lots of water and need the expansion room :D .Usually a tshirt and zipper for me tied round the waist when we get there. Reading this post isn,t it great how we all think alike :D Clever people

Totally agree anything without buttons, t-shirt and lightweight fleece and usually wear same thing back as going. Hubby and kids all do the same. Karen
