Well, I checked the prices on the websites (Eclipse and First Choice) and the one from Manchester on the 15th had gone up by £60 for us all. Phoned the number on the website and asked if this was normal (trying to see if I could get a deal there and then), but when he checked there were no seats on the flights at all for that Saturday from Manchester, Monday from Manchester and Tuesday from Liverpool. Anyway I though I wouln't faff about anymore and booked it online from Liverpool on the 18th September for 2 weeks Self Catering Plus and it went through OK saying it was confirmed anyway. If I had done this last night it would have been a bit cheaper, but put it down to experience as didnt want to take a risk leaving it till the last minute cause we really like the sound of this place.
Now I just have to get used to the idea that I have just spent a wedge of cash, and around the time we go I have Car Insurance, Car Service, MOT and Car Tax to pay for as well as spending money
Never mind- you have a holiday to look forward to
1. The Stuido Appartments, are these of a decent size, and if there are any 1 bedroom available when we get there would we be able to swap to one of those if we find it would be better for us (obviously I would expect to pay for this). Off some of the reviews I have read the Studio Appartments are supposed to be a decent size so it may not be an issue.
2. The TV's in the Appartments. Is it the usual channel lists such as Spanish, and maybe Sky News or something, or is the selection quite good (I like to watch TV when we are stuck in the appartment). Also, does anyone know what the connections are like on these TV's and if you can hook up something (such as a portable DVD or Console) to them, or are they pretty much locked down so you cant play about with them.
Really looking forward to going, especially cause of the rubbish weather we are having in the UK at the minute. Thanks in advance.
Hi Dave, Going in 2 weeks so will be able to tell you after that.

Not long to go now, counting the days !!!!

Im looking to book this DIY next year however First Choice say they have it Exclusively and i cant seem to find anywhere to book it elsewhere. Alpha rooms etc say they have it but when you go to book it says not available.

...but from past personal experience it's usually cheaper to book thru an agent than direct (strange but true).
has anyone been to club del sol and upgraded to self catering plus ? was wondering how much it would be to upgrade in resort. Also what is the breakfast like at the hotel. Many thanks
going in 15 days. cant wait!!!
I had an e-mail from them last week as i asked the same question they said it is 15 euros per day for adults and half price for children. They said you need to book for at least 5 days. Hope this helps. No food is included just crisps and ice creams for kids.
hmmm i may have to do that, even though we rarely drink alcohol,we might have a couple at night and im sure the kids would appreciate as much ice cream, drinks and crisps as they want!!!
It seems to be better value if you pay in resort as i think it works out £10 per person ( inc kids ) per day if booked with holiday. Some days you wont be drinking in resort so option of doing in reosrt seems better, think i saw a report that the kids crisps are in bowl around the bar, ready salted !
If you want any questions answering just let me know.
Had a fantastic time. The hotel is great. If you are going soon im so jealous
thanks claire

It's a good 1/2 hour walk out of Puerto Pollensa on the Alcudia road, right opposite the sea. The beach there is mostly shingle and only used by wind-surfers. You need to go into Puerto Pollensa if you want beach.
The Club Resort is in a nice country setting. Can't tell you anything more as I have never stayed there.
