My family and I went to Marte a couple of years ago, at first we really liked it the hotels are massive and as in many all inclusives you can not get near a pool unless you were awake and down there by 6.30am. Mosy days we had to go to the beach through the day so we did not get our AI money worth from the hotel as it was costing us to eat lunch out every day and drinks. After about 7 days there was an announcement that the hotel was over booked and that people could move to a quiter hotel nearby if they wanted, as we were not getting out monies worth we went for it, bad move. The hotel we ended up in was Lagomonte, bad move. It was more like a 2 star compared to the Marte.
All in all a good hotel
Any questions about the place, just ask will be happy to help
Only 5 weeks until we go, so will let you all know how we got on.
Anyone know if there was a supermarket close by? Didn't want to take too much baby food if I could buy it locally.
Thanks All

Hi, Will we see the results of this? I am due to visit here in 5 weeks time and I will be taking an 11 month old with me! Seriously considering changing hotels before I get charged to much, or am I being over cautious?
There is a decent sized Spar opposite the Saturno which stocks most things - but opposite the Jupiter is a much better supermarket called Caprabo - it looks like a warehouse and nothing like a supermarket but they sell everything from a bottle of water/milk/booze etc through to cd's and garden furniture - and the fresh bread is to die for
We went into the Jupiter restaurant when we went (review to follow when I get 5 mins) and there was a microwave in the main area for heating up milk/food. In fact, many guests used the microwave to reheat coffee etc as this tended to be a bit cool.

I have been to the hotel Marte last year and thought it was great. If you read the person's post , I'm not an expert but this is not like food poisoning, This is people if you can call them that, using the pool as a giant toilet. So I feel a bit sorry for the hotel.
The pool is about the one place you cannot control your hygeine level. You can wash food, drink bottled water do everything to keep yourself safe from bugs - but the pool is a nightmare.
You shoukd always use the sea, especially in the school holidays the busiest time.
In your hotel room you will find a Card Explaining what you should do BEFORE you enter the pool each time.
Use the Showers provided.
Wash hands after each visit to the bathroom.
Babys MUST have a waterproof nappy on BEFORE they enter the pool.
Its mostly the basic Hygene that you get on the card.
The above contamination is prolly from the people going to the Toilets without any footware on from the pool. then going streight back in ( Just think of the crap on the floor you just picked up on your Feet, Reguardless if you washed your hands or not)).
There are Lifeguards on every pool now ( was glad to see this ).
When i was there the kids started to use Waterpistols in the pools. having WARS with each other & genaraly causing trouble with eachother.
( The Pistols were banned from the pools on the day i was returning).
Crypto is nasty, have had a dose myself from a water park a few years go, do take necessary precautions and avoid contaminated areas its not worth taking the risk!
We will be going in a couple of weeks - I have spoke to Airtours and they have had no complaints etc about this hotel
Is this really true!!!
Waterproof nappies don't make any difference, everything still gets out into the pool.
have emailed the hotel asking them when i would be able to find out which hotel we're staying in but they just said we have took note of your request, does that mean they'll email me when they do the rooming lists or they didn't fully understand?
any help appreciated, this is the one thing we're stressing about!
the hotels are all close together in the same complex so you wouldn't be far away really, it would only take a couple of minutes to get from one to the other. However I don't know if you're allowed to eat in a different hotel from the one your room is in, which I can see is an aspect that might worry you.
I thought different Tour Operators went to different hotels? so if you booked together you should be in the same one?
Hope you get it sorted out....
the complex itself is extremely large (as it states in the brochures - 3 hotels, no. of rooms etc) but does have a lot of spacial grounds too. he pools can get quite crowded but in such a large family complex this is always going to be the case - are you going on holiday to sit by the pool or explore?
the rooms in the jupiter are very small for a family but fine for 2/3 people and yes the lits do tend to be a problem, however this is caused not by mechanical error but by children constanaly playing with them and pushing the buttons for all floord hence the long wait.
my point is that there isn't really much wrong at all with the complex, the reason people have such a bad time is because of the other guests in the complex.
it's simple the hotel dont fiddle with the lifts the kids do
the hotel dont pour tomato ketchup from the top floor to reception - the kids do
the hotel staff dont scream and shout at 3am - the drunken guests do
The hotel staff dont play knock and run at night - the guests do
The hotel staff dont urinate off balconies onto other people - guests do
The hotel dont let their kids run riot - the parents do
The hotel staff dont sit getting drunk all day - the guests do
the hotel staff dont constantly use foul language - the guests do
I think you get the drift, if you want to let the kids do their own thing out of your hair, drink 'free' beer all day and eat burgers this will be heaven, for anyone else this reall really will be your hell

Hope it helps
I imagine in the summer holidays it swarms.. x3 hotels that's alot
of kids.
We was looking to go back next year but will give it a miss after reading
bad reports... Don't want to take the risk
We came back from the club mac on saturday I will write a report later. The complex is quite big so you have to go looking to find out whats happening. I was disappointed with the entertainment on a night as it seemed to be geared towards adults and not kids. There also seemed to be alot of kids drinking I never saw them personally but my sister in law who was with us was walking around the lake and she said there was kids drunk and fighting. I can imagine that it would be bedlam in the school holidays.
