Fab, thanks Wilson. I will definately check the turquoise out!
Where is the Elvis Bar that is still called Elvis Bar? I have read loads of good reviews about it. I tried to look for it in May but I didn't find it. when we were in Picadilly they said they used to be Elvis Bar but I think it must be a different one.
Sorry I can't take your fat back, but I'm sure to export a load back to England!.. Especially if I can find the right Elvis bar!
Love nikki xx
I'm talking about the restaurant called Elvis's. Directions to that is out Alize turn right go to the next junction which is on the opposite side of the road and go up the hill there about 600 yds. I'm not sure what Elvis bar you are talking about. There was one on the main road near one of the big jewellery shops. It was upstairs if I remember correctly but I'm certain that has closed down now. Sorry cannot be of more help.
Wilson
I had a look at the turquoise website it looks lovely so gunna check it out when we get there. I've got all my directions printed off ready, thank you!!
We saw the Elvis bar near the jewellery shops but I guessed that wasn't it. I'm looking forward to trying the real Elvis bar. 18 sleeps!!
Love nikki xx
Have booked me the Mrs and the 2 kids for the 1st 2 weeks in June self catering to Club Turquoise in Marmaris have been twice before and we love it.
Yes
I would say that your price is excellent. Good lady and I are heading back for our tenth visit to Club Turquoise in July and we are paying more than you. That said, in my opinion Tour Operators play funny buggers with prices so good on you getting a good deal.
Wilson
Briar Real good, treatments all finished, got lots of hair again and is decorating the livingroom
We had a bit of a scare just before christmas when she found another lump but luckily it was a harmless one called a lympoma

Give me a pm with the details. I will speak with Irfan the manager and ask if it is ok for you to e-mail him direct. He will sort something for you.
Wilson

Thanks Wilson and Chelsea Boy for the replies
We are going to Marmaris on 30 August 2007 for 1 week staying at the Club Turquoise. Has anybody stayed at this hotel? If so, was it OK? Not been to Marmaris for 10 years!
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Tina
Tina have you read the reviews on this Hotel?? Sounds like you've picked a good one. Sure Wison can fill you in as this is a favourite of his.
Firstly I have to tell you that I am totally biased in everything I say because I love Club Turquoise and I am a good friend of the manager ...
I think you have made a good choice and won't regret it. Club Turquoise is in a good location, just on the edge of the Armutalan district. It will take you about 12 mins walking (or 2 mins on a No 3 dolmus) to get down into the main Marmaris to Icmeler road. That said there are many good restaurants nearby the apartment and their own poolside restaurant is excellent also. The apartments are a good size, basic but clean. You will get the usual 2 ring cooker, fridge and kettle but not much more (do you need more ?). You won't get a TV but can hire one if you want. The a/c is in the living room. The large pool dominates the place and when you see it all lit up at night it looks terrific. Laze by the pool and enjoy a drink at the Seagull Bar. There is entertainment day and night. Some good and some so so. It hasn't changed much over the 8 years or so that we have been going but it still gives you a laugh. The entertainers work very hard. You will have a wee shop where you can get the basics .. effes, wine, bread, effes, more effes and a jewellery shop too where you will not be ripped off as the management of the apartments frown on their guests being taken advantage of.
Anyway enough from me, here is a link to their website. It's not been updated recently but still gives you a flavour of what to expect.

oops, forgot to say welcome to the forums ...
Have been to Marmaris but it was 10 years ago and stayed right on the main Marmaris - Icemeler road - fab hotel - just a little too much road noise!
Wilson - can you take your own pop and crisps etc into the apartments? We stayed B&B in Kusadasi the other year and they would not let you take any drinks is bought from outside supermarkets!
No problem taking foodstuff bought outside into the apartments. Many people stock up for the week with goods bought from Migros, Gima etc. We tend to do a mixture of both, and top things up from the on site supermarket. It is a bit more expensive but that is understandable as you don't have the hassle of going to the big supermarkets in the heat. They aren't keen on you eating or drinking your own stuff by the pool and again I understand this. I have to say the poolside bar is not the cheapest place, more on a par with back home, you are however paying for the entertainment, pool, free beds etc. To give you an example you may pay £1 for a coke by the pool but if you walk up to the shop and drink it in the shade it's only about 50p per can.

Can anyone provide me with an idea on the location of these apartments?
Ive not been in the apartments but this URL shows its location :
