3rd time
Gunny good to see you're going back. Hope you have a great time. You deserve this holiday.
I'm thinking of booking Club Turquoise for 2 weeks in August. I've seen some photographs but can't work out how suitable it is for people with limited mobility can anyone give any advice?
However, most of the larger hotels have ramp access, and if there are stairs then they will be limited.
If the tour operator/brochure has specified that those apartments are indeed suitable for guests with limited mobility then I would imagine you will be issued ground floor apartment, and that you probably wont have to negotiate any stairs.
You will get wheelchair access at Club Turquoise. It doesn't have a lift but there are ramps all around. If you book I would advise that you e-mail the manager (Irfan) and let him know you require a room on the ground floor and they will happily accomodate you. Let me know if you book and I'll pass on his e-mail address.

Thanks Wilson. Can you possibly tell me the exact location of these apartments, hubby and I were having a major debate about where we thought they were!
Hi Lizzy. As Wilson said you won't have any problems with wheelchair access at the Turquoise. I stayed there with my ex husband who was using a wheelchair and the ramp access is great. They gave us a ground floor room and there's loads of room to get a wheelchair round the pool to the bar etc. It really is very disabled friendly. Not sure if you've been to Marmaris before but the other thing is that I found the turkish people to be really helpful at all times helping with the wheelchair etc.
Thanks Jacki, yes have been to Marmaris 4 times before and have always found the Turkish people to be very helpful and friendly. Can you tell me where the apartments are located?
http://www.sidewalkmarmaris.com there is a map on the site that shows the location, and also a larger map so you can see its position within Marmaris.
Hi lizzy, if you look on
Not good with streets and stuff Lizzy. Maybe map is your best bet but here goes. If you know where the Taj Mahal restaurant is down at the Gima Shopping Mall I would guess it's a 5 to 10 min walk from there heading up from the beach area. We never found the walk a problem. I went back to the Turquoise with a frind of mine last September and we found the location great.
I think I have a rough idea where they are now - thanks
Wilson, looks like I will be booking these apartments, any chance you can give me the e-mail address of the manager please?
Done .... via pm
hi wilson
I have just returned back from Marmaris after staying 7 nights at Club Turquoise. Firstly, Club T is fantastic. It caters for families of any age plus couples - there is entertainment literally all day and everyday. To be honest, we could not fault it. The hotel was also basic but very clean - when I say basic, you still had free air con, fridge, new toaster, kettle and all the utensils you could think of so wasnt too basic.
Now Marmaris. Has grown considerably since we were there last 10 years ago. Prices have gone up somewhat and are more on a par with other European destinations - that said - there were still bargains to be had if you looked hard enough for them. Breakfasts (full english) you could easily get for £1.80 - dinner (we usually skipped) - evening meal prices varied anything from £20-£30 upwards for 2 adults and 1 child (12).
The desiger fakes etc are everywhere - some quite good too - we bought an Ed Hardy trackie for our daughter £20 - good quality - 5 T shits £20 (again good quality) - 5 bags for £10 etc - so still good on that front.
Trips really cheap - full day about £12 including lunch.
Anyone thinking about going - I would say GO and would highly recommend Club Turquoise.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Tx
PS The weather was cracking !!!
