Thanks
Well, after sending a second e mail to First Choice complaining about the lack of response to my first one, I did finally get an answer.
The answer is astonishing to say the least and goes like this.
Sir
We do not have any details or information in the UK with regards to any trips or other activities that are offered in the resort.
We would ask you to contact your First Choice Representative upon arrival to gain the information you require.
Kind Regards
Miss Miss let me file my nails then have a natter before I reply.
Customer Service Assistant
Well sorry to put you to so much trouble "Miss let me file my nails then have a natter before I reply" at First choice.
Surely the reps in resorts are employed by First Choice and must have some sort of contact either directly or indirectly with the UK operation.
Frankly I cannot believe that First Choice have no idea at all what is offered in a resort, someone must decide on what they offer and could not if they wanted to find out.
The problem is that it is to much trouble for the office girl to do some work and help a customer.
Anyway with regards to my e mail to the Conrad, 3 weeks later I still wait patiently for my reply.
That's it ranting over, quick looks at swiss's pics and its all forgotten.
Steve
PS Maybe a letter to the CEO at First Choice might get me an answer, its worth a try
I will try Pippy's suggested e mail address for the Man at the Conrad and see what happens.
Oooowa, I'm a one star member now
I am going to the Conrad on September the 29th. Can somebody please tell me what the weather will be like then?
Both Pippy and myself have sent emails to the address Pippy gave you and got a response fairly quickly, a day or two later from Mr Sharaawi hopefully you will be the same.

Try this http://www.weatheronline.co.uk and look at the history for Sharm.
It was recommended by another HT user.

And yes Ben, dive courses all year round.
Thanks for that. I was just a bit worried as the price was so low. I thought there must be something up!!
Glad you got a cheep holiday, Thompsons must have seen me coming. Didn't even get any reduction for my 8 year old grandson.
Another good review for the Conrad
Well Spotted Pippy, it just gets better and better, lets hope the reviews stay like that until we go .

Hi Guys, I have spent the last 5 months looking for some insparation and information on the Conrad... Many thanks to Swiss, Pippy, Everest and djanej and you all for your VERY helpfull comments and reactions. There are 4 'oldies' going out to Sharm the first 2 weeks in September and all looking forward to it - now we have all this information it already seem 'home from home'. The whole set up at the Conrad looks fantastic, I think there are a lot of people now trying Egypt other that the Canaries etc... and by what you can read - its a nice compromise !!! I was wondering how the 'All Inclusive' will work out as its a new concept at the Conrad - and by reports of onsite costs for food and drink it will very much be an additional advantage? Does anyone know wither the Beach Bar and Poolside bars are part of the Conrad or a seperate concern? i.e will we be able to use our A.I tag to 'wet our whistles' while lolling in the sun? Once again many thanks to all you 'posters' you have made another 4 happy users look forward to going to Sharm.. and look forward to your reports on your return. Kind Regards.. Gordon M..
Glad we could be of some help.
Any hotel ive been to in the past going AI has always meant Ai everywhere including beach bars and poolside bars, although i did notice in one of the brochures for The Conrad that the on site facilities do have stars beside poolside bar, restaurants, grill and beach bar which normally means these facilities are payable locally but surely we dont have to pay in all these areas ??>> the brochure ive got is from May therefor the prices are for AI. I think i will email the hotel to answer this one. Ill let you know the response.
Debs
Tks for your reply..
Yes you must have the same info as myself - thats why I asked the question about the 'external facilities'. I suspect that the Brits at the Hotel will still be in the minority ?? and therefor not all the guests will be A.I therefor charges will still be made. Minor point, nothing to spoil what looks like a FAB Place to spend a couple of weeks eh!!
Me again ive emailed the hotel asking what facilities come under the AI bracket as most of them have stars beside them .
It may be its at set times of the day you have to pay and i think you may have to pay at the Italian restaraunt as its possibly an a la carte .
Ill let you know what they say.
And as you say a minor blip not letting it spoil our hol either if you do have to pay for some things weve been looking forward to it for so long.
Did you read the new review ? another great one.
Debs
Yes, read the recent report and very nice it sounds too.. As I previously said, being in the wilderness for 5 months wanting some info, to see all what is written on this msg board is just great -- September just cant come quick enough.. feel like im walking like ''An Egyptian'' already !!
Received this reply this morning.
Sorry was trying to copy and paste ill have to copy myself.
In the AI, you enjoy the following:
*3 buffet meals in restaurant
*Local beer-draught, local wine, soft drinks, tea, coffe and mineral water
during lunch and dinner.
*Above drinks in the pool and beach bars from 1000hrs to 1800hrs
and in the lobby bar from 1000hrs to 2300hrs
*Snacks in the main restaurant from 1100hrs to 1200hrs
*Afternoon tea from 1600hrs to 1800hrs.
Still a little unsure as to why those stars are still in front of each row but im happy with that , must mean you have to pay in the Italian and Fish Restaurants then but that seems reasonable enough to me as they are probably both serving expensive food , no way im getting a lobster in AI
At least we have a chioce of restaurants if you want a change.
So Gordon seems you wish of lazing by the beach and pool bars with a nice cold beer in hand has been granted.
Debs
Many thanks for your update - 'most acceptable' as some would say !! Really looking forward to September as I suppose we all are.. It all gets better by the day!! I wonder if the Hotel is 'ready' for an influx of Brits on an A.I -- all on our best behavour of course.. It will be lovely to see the different culture, and from what you read the Local people and staff are very friendly too. Tks again for your info

Is the Conrad all inclusive or are there the usual hidden extras.
I am looking at booking for October this year. There will be 4 adults and 2 kids, aged 4 & 6.
Can anybody provide advice please.[/url]
If I had to choose between the two it would definitely be the Conrad I'd book.
There are already several positive reviews for the hotel here on HT, the beach is very nice, but above all we know it's built and taking guests!
Whichever hotel you choose I wouldn't wait too long before booking as the Conrad certainly is proving to be a very popular hotel and I expect the Coral is filling up too.
