Forgot to mention Down to Earth has moved. The shisha place is now under a gazebo type thing on the beach near what was the Italian. The space below the pool bar is not being used at the moment although rumour has it it will be turned into a place for Kids Club.
Animation team consisted of Sherif & Tarek whilst we were there. Also a kids club lady who appeared to disappear with the kids - without their parents knowledge!! A lot of face painting was going on, when one little girl aged 7 asked for it just on her arm she was not allowed unless it was on her face too!!

Shisha place is near the Casa Pesto now! It's moved again then - in the summer it was over by the perimeter fence just past the Abou Lou Lou. Perehaps it's been put somewhere more sheltered for the 'winter'...
Well hopefully it will move back to under the pool bar in time then!!

Wendy is on her way. She's staying at HSB with Nour tonight (not literally), then transferring to the Coral tomorrow afternoon after seeing Sherif N to catch up on things and see how he is now.

Just booked to go back to the coral after a 2 year absence, yes I know, shame on us!
We'll be there for 2 weeks from 27th May. It will be interesting to see some of the changes people have been mentioning. Does anyone think it's worthwhile emailing ahead (as we did last time) to see if we can get an upgrade?

We've been put in one of the ground floor superior rooms a couple of times when they realised we'd been before.

Wendy's there at the moment. She's in a superior, having paid for just a normal room.
There's a "tented" changing room as you walk onto the beach. There's a "smart new towel hut" as Wendy said. Water gym is being done in the sea at the moment.
Temperature was 8C in Russels room at 8am yesterday - what Wendy was doing in his room at 8am I've yet to find out.
It's been windy and chilly at times. Yesterday was the first time she caught the sun in 5 days.

Room upgrades are still being given - when available
When we saw Zaki the day before he left on vacation in November he was fine, but nobody has heard from him since. They were expecting him back, but he can't be contacted at all. They are all worried about him, and Yasmeen is missing him terribly.
Regarding the new rules for the Russians, they seem to be working. They are being very quiet and polite, no drunkeness and actually speak to you and like to tell you politely that they are Russian.
