Fame at last for her Ev. :rofl Hope she's having a great time.

I've always found if someone like that is at your hotel the food improves, which is always a plus. :tup

Do you mean Wendy or the Pres? :rofl

PSML. I am sure they always make an extra effort when the Everests' are in town. :rofl

She's also had a bit of trouble getting a signal on the 3 phones they've taken. She reckons it's something to do with the internet wi-fi.

Don't blame me, but Wendy got it wrong! :duh

It wasn't the Pres, it was 2 top ministers - 1 Egyptian and 1 Jordanian. They were there to open a new transport route at the port.

Well, that's a relief, Ev.
I couldn't find mention anywhere on the newsweb and though you'd uncovered a top secret visit and potentially exposed both Wendy and the hotel to action by disaffected radicals!

Is the Coral Hilton right on the beach ? I still cant decide which hotel to book ! Conrad (Imperial) Baron or Hilton.

Well, let's be honest - if it wasn't for a few roads and some watering the whole of Nuweiba would be on the beach! But it's a massive beach.

The Hilton sits in nice grounds, with Date Palms, Magnolia, fruit bushes, Oleander, Hibiscus and more set around the grassed areas. A short wander through the ground leads directly to a sandy beach, though with a bit of shingle on the tide line. In the water the botttom is mostly sand immediately off the beach - ideal for paddling or playing in the sea when the sun starts to feel too hot.

Thanks so much to you both :tup I think this is making my mind up :D .Just one more questio, the girl i am going with has no interest in doing any trips, but wonders if the hotel has any shops for gifts, jewellery etc. And how far is it to Swisscare as i would like to pay Alvin a visit.
Thanks again

Yes, there are a few shops near reception, but some of the stuff they have is expensive (even by our standards).

Swisscare is only about 4 or 5 mins drive away at most. You could walk it, but it would be hot and you'd have to watch out for the mad drivers.

Not so many mad drivers if you walk along the beach, of course..! Take a couple of bottles of water and paddle a bit if it feels hot.

Beware the on-site taxi company - last year they wanted LE100 to take me to Swisscare, but the previous year (when Soliman's ran it) I'd paid LE20 (ie 2 quid) and told them that's what I'd pay - I got the ride.

As Ev pointed out it is pretty close, maybe a mile up the road. You can see the hotel from the Hilton - look for 'The Magic Tree' a tall, plastic (?) palm, presumably a phone mast, which is situated in the Swisscare grounds.

I might even be cheeky and fone to ask if Big Willy could pick me up !
