Friday ( 3 days before travel ) they got a phone call to say the Coral was OVERBOOKED and they were booked in to Intercontinental at Taba at least for the first week.
2 more friends going out 11th Nov , so far they think they're going to the Coral ....... but it's still 6 days to go .......
(At this rate I'll be glad we're going to Marsa alam )
OMG!! thats terrible, we are arriving next Thursday (I hope)
Helene dont worry!! You will have to sleep on the sunbeds otherwise!!
from reading trip adviser report how do longwood fit 90 people into 6 rooms someone was telling porky's. This was the number of guests arriving while i was there last.
Well, I said when Thomson started selling holidays to Nuweiba the tone of some reviews might change - it's a different sort of place to the Mediterranean hotels these folks are used to. Enjoy the beach, the atmosphere, the Red Sea wildlife and don't expect too much - then they'll realise it's better than similar priced places in Europe by far...
I sent an email to the customer relations guy yesterday - Its fine, I dont think they would upset their regular returners! But the hotel does seem rather full, not Russians but Czech Republic
Always seems to be a lot of guests from Eastern Europe around this time of year, but more British visitors again in the summer. Just seems to come down to holiday patterns.
A text from our friends at the Intercontinental says that the option of spending their second week at the Coral has been refused..... they had booked with Longwoods through Jetline ......... though other friends going out on Tuesday have had their booking accepted...... they are with Thompsons.
Is anyone going to the Coral Hilton in the next few weeks who would be kind enough to take three light items (one is a card) for three of the staff please?
Thanks,
Helen
Helene
Thanks Nicki,
Doesn't look like Ahmed (animation team) is planning to return to the Coral anytime soon, he's living in Bradford!
Nuweiba or Bradford!!?
Hmmm......tricky one that, I know Bradford has its fans but it's Nuweiba for me! Call me old fashioned, lol
Can get a decent curry more nights in Bradford
Well Alan, that's all well and good if you like curries
What about the one they do in the Blue Blue on Asian night? Usually very good - though different to an evening out at Mumtaz!
Can't stand them. It's bad enough when I have to go into one of those establishments when working!
I'm finally back to The Coral after an 18 month break in March... Anyone have a current e-mail address they could PM me to try and negotiate a cheap upgrade to a bungalow
Cheers,
Kosh
PS - Hope you all had a nice Xmas, especially those of you lucky enough to spend it in Egypt!
