My husband and I (also from London) are flying out to CSR on 26 June from Gatwick too so looks like you won't be the only southerners after all!

we were told that you might have to pay for your bottled water at csr,as they have to import the water,does anybody know if this is the case,we are all inclusive. 
Everyone is all A/I at the CSR and last July we did not have to pay for bottled water. It is available at mealtimes. Just go and collect it from the restaurant as many bottles as you like. What we did was to get reception to empty our mini fridge, so we could stock up the fridge. There are also large bottle water dispensers around the complex to get water, but in my opinion were not always cold enough.
I have not heard from anyone returning that this has changed and not been informed from First Choice this is the case either which they are meant to do if there are any changes.
I am going back again in two weeks, so if this is the case I will report when I return, but I'm sure you do not pay for bottled water.

Hi,we went in April and didn't pay for water.As sharmaddict says,it is available in main restaurant.
You can get as much water as you require while you are having a meal or at times when the bars are open, we spent two weeks at CSR and never paid for any water. You will have a great time there.

I know that there at large water coolers that you can dispence water into plastic cups by the pool bars during the day. Not always cold enough if lots are drawing water at the same time as water not in the clilled part for long enough, but its still water at the end of the day. Not sure if you can get bottles of water from the pool bars. I did not get any from there as I stocked up my mini fridge so did not have the need to ask.

From previous visits you can only get bottles of water from the main restaurant (lunch and dinner) and the mermaid restaurant at lunch, they do not limit you and these can be refilled from the main coolers by the pool. Refill them in the morning and pop them in your fridge, they won't be ice cold but will keep you hydrated.

Hi all, we got back from CSR on Tuesday morning. You can get free bottled water from the main restaurant only at lunch and evening mealtimes. I would not use the watercooler things as people are drinking from their bottles then putting then up to the tap part so anyone with a dodgy tummy may pass that on. When we were there a lot of people had egyptian tum so you need to be as careful as you can.

We were there 2 years ago and that is exactly what I thought ,It is a good idea to get the mini bar emptied and stock the fridge with plenty of bottled water,I think these water coolers breed germs in that hot sun.

can you just ask at reception to empty your mini bar or do you need to ask the rep?
