We had a hairdryer in the select room. I don't use one but both my girls seemed to find it fine!
I know what you mean. but did you have a clear view of Sunrise & sunset from your terrace? Sorry for all the trivial questions!!!!!!!!!
Not trivial at all! Certainly sunset...missed most of the sunrises I am afraid! When I did get up I walked down to the sea edge and watched from there, but I am sure it would have been fine from the terrace. There was a full moon when we were there and that was fantastic!
We are due to go to Coral Sea in August
Just got letter from First Choice saying that the beach bar is now a Al Alacarte restaurant and we can use it through the day but on a night time its a AlAcarte Seafood Restaurant and you have to pay.
Its not a problem to us has any one else had the same letter?
We don't mind paying on a night as we love seafood
Hiya
Yes I had the same letter last Thursday. It doesn't bother us either and to be honest I love seafood so it is a good thing for me heehee.

i'm going to snorkel and dive with the fishes ,don't think i could could eat them after that ,would make me feel like a cannibal anyway cant see the point of A/I and then paying on top of it ,i'll stick to the lamb we got more than enough to spare in the welsh hills
It was the same last year, we ate there once and it was very good!
I'm looking forward to it plus it will be a bit of a change aswell.
Tell your wife to pack her hairdryer and if she uses them straightnening irons! The hotel rooms do have a hairdryer but u will be better off blowing on yr own hair thats how good i found them ? Also the water is terrible for your hair (girls) so if u like straight hair and u ain't blessed like me..sorry... Take yr straightnening irons !!
Hope this helps?? x
thanks MM will do
We are going on 27th September and I also got a letter about the beach bar now being a la carte and payable.
I think it's a bit cheeky paying for AI then being told it's payable if you want to eat there.
Are there plenty of other places to eat as my husband and kids are not big seafood eaters.
Also, can someone tell me if all the select rooms are in the same block and on one floor (ie ground floor/top floor). Or are they mixed in with standard rooms.
Are the kids clubs run by first choice kids reps or by egyptian equivalents.
Can't wait to go here. It sounds great.
Emma
My information from the resort is that the select rooms are on all levels and are mixed in with standard rooms. If you send a pm to saarawim regarding your preference he will look after it for you if at all possible.I have been in contact with him regarding the Select rooms and he has been so helpful. You can find his profile in this topic

sorry that should be shaarawim
Just read the topic on SES airport and now thinking about getting a taxi to the hotel. What are the taxi's like? ie safe & reasonable clean....i know, fussy!!
I was thinking about booking a direct transfer with first choice. Has anyone done this to the Coral Sea?
We are not getting visa's as we are only there for a week and are quite happy to spend all day at the hotel, so thought that we could get the hotel alot quicker if we got a taxi!
Thanks
Karen
PS I'm starting to get sooooo excited, only 2 weeks on Monday to go!!
I have booked with HolidayTaxis and they seem quite good. Has anyone got experience with this company
Regards
PM
Sorry but i suppose this topic should be in the Sharm Airport Forum ??
i wouldnt book a taxi with first choice i think they want about £30 were if you get a taxi when you get there it will be about £4 but make sure you sort the price out befor you get in taxi
Thanks but if we did NOT book through First Choice what are the taxi's like? Are they licensed and are they old bangers? We went in a taxi in Mexico couple times pre children and that was an experience of a lifetime. I had to shut my eyes and hope for the best plus the taxi's were so grubby!! Any help
there is a taxi rank at the hotel if you can get the phone number and im sure they will pick you up and there better cars aswell why dont you ask SHAARAWIM for there number
