We spent 3 days last year in Trogair, it is a lovely place but very busy at the bridge, plenty places to eat in the old town and a lot going on. We only went through to Split when we stayed there, went on the local bus which was very busy and hot. On our holiday last year we also went to Dubrovnik but not from Trogair but we think it is about 1 and half hours from Trogair, Dubrovnik is lovely
The big yachts in Trogair are amazing, if you need anymore info I will try and answer
Enjoy
Linda
I've booked now for me, the missus, 7 yr old daughter, plus old friend and her 18 yr old daughter to go to Croatia at the end of May for 10 nights.
. flying Ryanair Stansted - Trieste
. renting a car and driving to Porec
. 10 nts in a luxury (?) tents at Bijela Uvala, booked through Vacansoleil
I've looked through all the posts on this forum, at other discussion websites and Googled till my fingers bled. I've gathered a certain amount of info about the weather, campsite, resort, restaurants and the surroundings, and it sounds pretty good.
Anyone out there got any personal experiences of the above they'd like to share?

(really looking forward to it & wanting to share the excitement )
My girlfriend & I are condsidering Dubrovnik for our hols this year but have read conflicting reports on prices ? Could you please advise how much it was to eat, drink etc ??
Many Thanks in advance
Mike
Could someone please advise the avreage cost of eating, drinking out in Dubrovnik ?? We're looking to go this year but only want to stay B&B ideally to sample a variety of restaurants etc
I think we averaged between £30 and £40 for the 2 of us for our evening meal- that's for 2 courses, drinks, etc. As with most places, it's possible to go cheaper or more expensive but most places had a pretty standard menu.
Have you any info on them.
Dubrovnik Area is on my wish list and I love boats!
Yours Aye,
Jopa.
The other side were privately owned cruise ships and they were a sight to see it was seeing how the other half lived, we saw in the three days we stayed there about 7 different ones berthing one was bigger than the other with their own staff and seeing them having dinner on deck.
Lovely memories
Linda
Have been on the Turkish Gulet Boats and love them.
Looking for the same sort of thing in other Countries now.
I know one Tour Co. that has the "Old Timer" Boat near Dubrovnik but it's pretty expensive.
Have checked out Thailand for small boat cruises but they only seem to do a few days at a time...Keep searching Jopa
Thanks for your info anyway.
Yours Aye, Jopa.
I missed this one!
Well we have booked to go to the Park Hotel Rovinj in July.
Haven't ever been to Croatia before, but from what I've read up about it, Rovinj looks like a beautiful place. Im sure the islands will be peaceful and I don't think the ferries are expensive. We're really looking forward to going there. Presumably you enjoyed Brela?
Have you seen these websites about Rovinj?
http://www.rovinj.net/en/
http://www.istra.com/rovinj/eng/index.html
thanks for the reply.
The Park looks nice too,we nearly booked there and there are some great comments on the net about the hotel.
You will love Croatia,Brela last year was our first time and we are now hooked. Its got it all the best of Greece and Italy combined.Very affordable , beautiful and varied.Greece and Turkey just got too expensive and Croatia has that value for money.
We will be there from July 15th.Hoping to do Venice whilst there.
Hope you have a great time too!
Andy
