Doesn't affect most of us here, but it sounds a bit like the health & safety curse to me!

Ive also read stories online of crocs getting caught in escalator steps and dragging the persons foot into the jagged edge at the end of the escalator. Doesnt sound pleasant!

Still want a pair - hoping ill have a pain-free Disneyworld holiday this year with them on (As apposed to wearing stinky trainers for two weeks solid!)

I think they are the most ugly things I have ever seen. I joked to my daughter when they first came out I was going to get her a pair, no way am wearing those she said. I don't blame her. Horrible looking things. They are a expensive bit of plastic/rubber that look awful.

At £30 a pair they must be making huge profits when they probably cost 50p to make using injection moulding. Give a few years and loads of people will I never wore those, god what was wrong with me.

I have to disagree with you there - apparently there is a lot that goes into the making of the real ones, or so the official Crocs website says.

Theyre made of some new type of rubber/plastic that repels bacteria etc.

I thought the same as you before i read the official website and realised they will do wonders for my feet on long walks!

I love my crocs! I got Cotton Candy and light blue caymans. Most comfortable shoes ever!

My husband hates them, have threatened him with a bright yellow pair

Just before i forget - made a trip into Glasgow yesterday and there IS a PROPER Crocs shop in the Buchanan Galleries - i think its on the 3rd Floor - you cant miss it. Its brilliant - has LOADS of caymens in different colours and i also tried on the Sassari's and the Prima's so i know what size to look out for in America. At least i know if i dont get the ones i want in America i can get them in Glasgow!

They also stock LOADS of kids ones, including wellie boot versions and proper hiking ones and loads of mens ones in various colours.

Thought i'd mention it incase others were wondering :)

Tony - everybody and their granny will be wearing crocs in Goa this next season - real or not. You will buy some because everybody else will. Not Pink but navy or black.
I will not wear mine as I have had them for 3 years - bought them as deck shoes in US and continued wearing them because they were so comfortable. Only wear real Crocs not the cheappie things - they are crap and sweaty and not good to wear.
Had them in Goa 2 years ago and everybody laughed at them - even the man who own Masquerade shop -- near to Luma Supermarket and Daytripper - and he now sells them.
Will wear my Sassari Crocs - wedge heals in retro black and white - pink and white and all black - wonderfully comfortable shoes - and nobody will be able to buy them from Primark or Peacocks cos I got them off ebay from Singapore.

I am glad some other people agree with and the croc shoes are ugly, people only buy them because its the fashion. I alway say people are like sheep and will follow any fab of the day. Bah bah bah.

Thats not a very nice thing to say! I certainly didn't buy mine because im following any fashion. I bought my first pair beginning of last year, may even have been end of 05.You hardly saw anyone in them then, and yes I did get some stares but I don't care. Funny how ALL my friends who first laughed at me now all own Crocs themselves.

Never has a pair of shoes ever caused such fuss. If you like them wear em if you don't then......don't! Simple :)

I bought my first pair in February this year and wore them on holiday to Goa.

I found they were really light to wear and my feet did not get hot and sticky.

I had loads of people ask where I bought them from and someone wanted to buy the pair I was wearing.

I was only joking, I am trying to be nice. But the sight of those shoes :?
