As my daughter threatened to disown me if I wore my bright green crocs on hols, I started wearing them for work. Best decision ever, as i work in a nursing home with plenty of hours standing, they are so comfy and also the residents identify me as the 'girl with the green crocs'. :) :D

I have been in Australia for a month now and have worn my crocs everyday for sightseeing - must have walked miles and miles. Brought 3 other pairs of shoes and they have not been out of the case except for my Crocs Sassaris (wedge sandals) when we went out to dinner. Yesterday we went to a beach volley ball tournament and they were selling flip flop type Crocs (Crocs were the event sponsors) which have a yellow inner soles and black outer soles and straps and embossed in yellow with their beach volley ball logo as well as Crocs. They are brilliant and could not resist buying them - now upto 7 pairs of various styles. Hope nobody else has any of these when we get home :D Even talked the other half into buy a pair of the lace up ones when his new (expensive) sandals started coming apart and he now wished he had bought them in the first place.

You've talked me into buying a pair - ordered them this morning and hope they'll be as comfortable as everyone reckons as we always do a lot of walking when we're away.

crocks definately rock in the comfort stakes, but has anyone noticed the amount of electric shocks you get whilst wearing them in the house ? maybe its just me ?

I wear my crocs as slippers and i also get a lot of electric shocks

oliday, that makes me feel so much better knowing i'm not alone ! Any idea why this happens ?
not that it'll stop me wearing them though !

I think the material they're made of causes static electricity to build up - I might have been dreaming but I'm sure I read that hospitals have banned nursing staff from wearing them. Don't quote me, it might have been a joke but I definitely recall reading something.

Yes you are right, a lot of hospitals have banned staff from wearing crocs. Denny

I think the reason hospitals banned them was due to the holes incase the member of staff was stabbed by something like a syringe falling on their feet.

I have worn my black Crocs at the weekend all winter and will be off to Vegas in the gold ones next week. I will only be taking them and a flat pair of sandals for night.

My friends a nurse in the X Ray department of our local hospital and she bought some anti-static crocs last year for work.
My husband has just bought a pair of black mock crocs today for our holidays as they will weigh a lot less than his Clarks sandals so will help the keep the weight down!
He got them from Shoe Zone(cheap shop I know!)and they had the ladies mule style ones with beads on them in a lovely pale green and lilac! :sun2

You can get Crocs in Vegas at the Mircale Mile shops or the Fashion Show Mall. Not much selection of styles, mostly just the basics ones (can't remember the name at the moment).

** Edit - They were Beach Crocs.

They cost $30 + tax which is half what they cost here.

Eww. I hate crocs. Alot. But flip flops = <3

I practically live in flip flops during the summer. The cheapest pair I got was for £1 in Superdrug. They're purple and they sell a bag that match them.

I love flip flops.
I didn't like the look of crocs last year, but someone bought me a pair of cheap ones and
I loved them! :love2

Comfy is not the word - didn't know I had them on :)
So I bought a few pair in different colours and that's pretty much all I wore all holiday.

Have stocked up again for this year, both cheapo crocs and flip flops.

Im laughing here as I remember reading this thread last year and thinking "oh my gawd I would never wear them".......

Was converted last August and have worn them inside and out all the time - bright turquoise and I bought little diamonds, smiley faces and other little decorations for them :cheers

Husband was saying how horrible they were...........lo and behold he appeared from the local shopping centre with a khaki pair and has been wearing them since!!!

My daughter says its like a cult and we are all brainwashed :rofl
