Cruise agency doubles sales staff
Gill's Cruise Centre has more than doubled its sales team to 55 staff as it gears up for future growth in the cruise holiday sector.
The investment allows the agency to create specialist sales teams dedicated to specific sectors of cruising. Ultimately staff will work exclusively with key cruise companies to further enhance customer service levels, the company said.
Gill's said it had been able to tap into a pool of experienced cruise sales personnel as it continues to place an emphasis on high levels of service throughout the booking process.
The majority of the new recruits are based in the company's offices in London, opened in June.
By employing more staff, Gill's has been able to extend the hours its client services team is available to handle specific customer queries to match that of its call centre - 08.00 to 23.00, seven days a week.
The company continues to operate its London-based Baker Street Cruise Club which focuses on attracting passengers who have not previously experienced a cruise holiday.
Gill's Cruise Centre chairman Alistair Gill said: "In growing the business we wanted to make sure we are offering a ‘wow' experience to all our customers, hence our decision to expand our unrivalled team of sales staff, all who have an average experience of between three and five years in the cruise industry.
"I am delighted to be able to take our business to the next level supported by a wonderful group of people, of whom I am very proud."
