Our intention (mu wife and I) is to cruise the Fjords between 15th August 2010 and 22nd August 2010.
What kind of weather should we expect, rough seas, rainy, high winds, snow etc.
Can anyone advice please?

Hello Salvu welcome to Holiday Truths 
It is nice to see you posting from the very beautiful island of Malta.
Are you sailing directly from from Valletta or are you flying to Oslo or Bergen and then joining your cruise ship in Norway?
If sailing from Valletta it should be a relatively smooth cruise up to Norway although there is always a chance that a storm might make the North Sea a bit rough although at that time of year the chances are much less.
Are you starting you cruise of the Fjords from Bergen or Stavanger?
When you get to Norway the cruising up the Fjords is very smooth and relaxing and are a magnificent sight to see with the large mountains falling steeply down to the water level.
Weather wise in August you won't have snow however the area does have a high percentage of rainfall and you will have to take some wet weather cloths with you, temperatures are much less than you will be used to in sunny Malta, you are looking at a maximum daytime temperature of around the low 60s (17 C) and nighttime temperature of the low to mid 50s.
If you are in Bergen and get a chance it is well worth taking a walk through the older parts of the city, it is very picturesque with lovely narrow streets and painted timber building also you should try and take the Fløibanen funicular from the centre of Bergen up one of the mountains for amazing views over the city.

10Q for your feedback. Following your mail and other advices from some friends, we are now considering to cruise the Fjords a month before i.e. 7 nights starting on 17th July 2010. This cruise will have a stop at Bergen, something you suggested :).
We shall fly to Gatwick and start the cruise from Southampton. In fact, after we have selected the cruise, we are now trying to find lodging at Southampton.
The cruise we have selected will have the following stops; Bergen, Flaam, Olden, Stavenger back to Southampton.
