Meeeeyyyy,
Although you cannot delete posts in this thread, you can `edit` your own posts.
Therefore you can remove the text from one of your posts and just leave at least one letter or say "edited duplicate" (or whatever!) which effectively removes it.

Spoke to a lady at the DE today as I wasn't contacted after the 8 weeks after I wasn't contacted after the 3 weeks! I had to ring them of course 'cos I wasn't called back after the 'not at my desk' message.
She seems a very nice girl, and I know Alii found her very helpful, but she said it was now in the hands of the DE legal dept and R****/M** were probably waiting until things were sorted out before calling us. She seemed to think I would be called, but all I could do for now was be patient. Any one else had this one?
Glad to see some of you are still getting cruises - well done! Just hope you're not the last! Back to the whisky now I think!
"Oh ! what a buitiful morning, Oh ! what a buitiful day, I've got a wonderful feeling......................."
Good Morning what a wonderful sunny morning it is on the Balcony Cruise,
we are just up the 'Feeder' now approaching 'Lego land'
No I've not been ding donging all night before anyone asks - just enjoying this wonderful sunny weather. (might put the bikini on this morning)
Nice to read we have another one who likes a dram Well done Johnfrum, just hang on in there, (Whereever it may be) and you'll be sorted out soon, 'I feel it in my water' (anyone know what that stupid saying means) I used to hear it all the time 'up North' along with 'Rag Pudding & Peas'
Sorry Luci
By for now must get some more factor 20 on my slim lined body (must also visit specsavers) :rofl :rofl :rofl
Byeee for now

Phil Morris
as phil say's it is a beautiful morning. any room for me at the captains table as I like a few ding dongs or four now and again. vivien
Johnfrum, keep up the pressure! I believe our travel agents telephone lines are not quite as busy as they have been, certainly people chasing tickets seem to have been connected without difficulty. Good luck!
TonyW - thanks for the tip - but there was another post after my duplicate one, and I'm not sure I'd have had the time to correct it - sometimes you can't if there are more posts. I'll remember your tip if it happens again. I do sometimes edit my posts, but try not to as it gets complicated if someone else posts while you're editing - at least, if you're me it does!!!!!

It appears we have got our half * back. I admit I don't do much searching on other sites and just rely on all you knowledgeable people to pass on any useful info but as someone said above, as long as we have food, drink, good company and a bed to sleep in I for one will be quite happy. Having never cruised before I shall have nothing to compare the Melody with but am just looking forward to the whole experience.
Oh look - 5* - wheee, who said HT was addictive
Rise tell me they have received my tickets from MSC and will be sending them out today.
Postie, bring em on!!! :-)
I don't know how much more my nerves can take! Phil make mine a triple please. A balcony cruise in this weather is just what I need.
By the way, I've been trying to send some PM's since last night and they just get stuck in my outbox. Am I doing something wrong??? Luci? Anyone?
Hilary
PMs remain in your outbox until the recipient has opened them!
Thanks Magsy!
Here are some MSC Melody menus for you to drool over - all 2 and a half stars of them!

Anyone for 'ding dongs'
...and here is a different review from the ones we have seen....
...and here is quite a negative review - but it was written by an american so take it with a pinch of salt.....
Cruise going very well, long night at heathrow, checkin opened at 4.30!!! long queues, nice flght out, airline food was #interesting# departed milan around midday, a lot of non ht members, paying a lot more than us 10 pounders.
Melody is a classic ship, and as such is very intetesting, caters for the italians, 156 brits onboard. all ages, food is very good in buffet areas, dinner service is rushed l feel, but thats maybe me??
Great weather, calm seas, and we are all a mixed bunch, but are all having fun.
seems to be all diferent flight times and one drop off and pick up at airports.
other non forum readers onboard as well, and some are paying a bargain 800 pounds for the same cruise!!!!!!!
on a personal not all l can say is it not th QE2, however its a very good and fun cruise experience and, one assc member had his 10pounds in meal at dinner last night
in malta right now, with Atwales and Anthonyhaines
scarlets problem seems to be in hand!!!!!!!!!!
cheers
myles xxxxxx
I'm not sure what to make of this. The menus are great, varied and interesting but then the reviews????
Maybe it's just a culture thing - I'm going to keep an open mind. But will remember the advice about ordering a carafe of drinking water at meal times and I will pack some scissors (not in hand luggage of course!) and
plenty of reading matter!
This has just proved my point - take negative reviews with a pinch of salt.
Enjoy the rest of the cruise - regards to everyone. We can't wait for our turn
Alli
How did I know you would cheer all Melodians up - good man! Give everyone our best wishes and enjoy everything!
