Thanks, Myles, and have a BRILLIANT time for the rest of the week!!!!
Fay
departed Milan around midday
seems to be all different flight times and one drop off and pick up at airports
Lots of hanging around then at Milan airport for the 6am Alitalia departures (arrive Milan 9.05am).
At least we also know now that
food is served on Alitalia and that we do definitely have some sort of meal!"interesting"
Thanks for the update Myles, much appreciated. Looks like all the DE/Rise travellers managed to find one another OK.
I haven't flown Alitalia for 3 years, but their food was delish - maybe things have changed, and we cheapos are getting different treatment. They serve a sort-of brunch - actually more of an elaborate brekkie, so I can't imagine what Myles meant by ''interesting''. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Good of him to post, though, I suppose he knew we Melodians were waiting with baited breath!!!
Well I can eat at breakfast if the menus like the Armonia one but not at other meals as even the vegetables are cooked in butter dont think they like vegetarians/vegans
(cycled to Bedminster and Clifton today, just to work on the waist line, and the stamina for the line dancing)
(sorry Luci)
I had to walk up the hill to Clifton, half way up the hill, when I was just thinking of taking a rest on a well placed bench
when these young kids on bikes (about 8 and 10yrs of age) followed by their Dad sailed past like they were on a flat cycle track.
That made me walk on - I nearly died by the time I stagered to the top of Bridge Valley Road, (for those who know it)
Well the bar menu looks O.K. a bit short on the scottish water, but it looks intresting enough to try other alternatives. :glynis
The food looks O.K. as well, (Why am I over weight )
About the Yank, not a lot to say except they always complain, like the Germans we used to get on board the Canbara and the France they were well known for looking for faults in the hope of getting either an upgrade or a discount on the next crossing. Ignor them, let us hope they may read this stupid review then they may cancel or choose not go on a MSC cruise - so making more room for H.T. cruisers
Any way must be off more excersises to do, cycling to Bath tonight - along the old train track.
It was very good of Myles to send his comments - not managed to ffind many photos yet, nor mine I have uploaded twice now, I must send a pm to Van later on.
Byee for now ( I promised myself one when I get to Bath, then another when I get back home)
Happy Cruising

I know what you mean, but think how slim you will be by the time your cruise comes around.

For those going to Istanbul on their cruise, I found this site interesting. Scroll down to cruise bit plus lots of other info.
I have had one promising response which I have passed onto MKM who now tell me we should both be contacted by Rise within the next couple of weeks. I am not getting my hopes to high as they have been dashed too many times in the past but keep your fingers crossed for us.
I will let you know how it goes.
Fingers and everything else crossed for you Janet!
Positive thoughts are beaming on you Janet. Hope you get sorted soon.
Wishing you all the very best of luck in your quest for a cabin mate Janet. I hope it works out for you.
Good luck, Janet!!!!!!!
I've got them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe it. I got my tickets for the opera today. Sailing next saturday, 21st.
All this waiting has definately been worth it. I'm sure there must be more than just me and hilary on this date. Come on you shy lot and spill the beans!!
Well I had better start ironing and packing now((especially as you cant take irons on board). A bit crafty of them really. You cant use your own irons, there is no laundrette, only the laundry service to do your ironing. I had better pack well cos the amount of stuff i normally take would cost me a fortune for them to iron it all!!!
To everyone who is still waiting to go or who has not got a cruise yet- keep your chins up it wont be long before your off!
MInd you what that saying about chickens and hatching, I dont really think I'll be de-stressed till I am actually on board
Am I the only one having problems with HT today? I haven't received the usual emails notifying me of new posts, and have had to sign in several times.
Great news about your tickets Joe, they are posting some in good time. Hope we are on a roll now.
Dizzy
Emails have started again, thank heavens!
Well done joeandkev
