Hi Luci, sorry if posting this on wrong place. I received cruise allocation letter in Oct 04, cruise allocated:-Louis Cruise Lines, 4th June, 05, itinerary:Marseilles,Genoa,Naples,Benghasi,Al Khum.Tripoli, La Valletta, Marseilles. Have not been formally advised by Rise that cruise cancelled but not confirmed either. Have already utilised HT link to Rise, who rang me on 10th Jan and said they would ring me back within 6 weeks. I have just found this list in the last couple of days. In ealy November I was allocated the Marseilles - Genoa - Livorno - Civitacecchia - Tunis - Tripoli - Valletta - Cagliari - Marseilles cruise departing 2nd April but as yet nothing has been confirmed by Rise Travel.

I am little confused by this thread as there seems to be a mix of 'allocated' and 'confirmed' bookings. As far as I see it 'allocated' means nothing. Only confirmed bookings should be listed.

Don't we need a separate thread with nothing on it but 'the lists' of confirmed bookings.

Just a thought.

I spent a considerable amount of time adding people's cruises to this topic as they received their allocation letters.

I have been deleting the allocated ones and adding the confirmed cruises as they have been happening. The confirmed cruises can be clearly distinguished from those which are only allocated by the fact they are in bold font.

I have left the allocated cruises on this topic so that people can see how many people have still to have their cruises confirmed.

Was called today. My cruise: 23.04.05: Houston - Cozumel - Roatan - Belize - Cancun - Houston was cancelled because "so many people called the cruise company that they have cancelled the cruise altogether".

Was offered an upgrade for £60 to Milan, Genoa, St. Tropez etc, or £149 for a cruise around Italy and Greek islands (Santorini, Corfu, Athens).

I originally chose the £60 offer, but was then told I'd have to pay for a night's accommodation in Milan, and that I'd also have to pay for travel to the hotel from the airport and back again. This made it a good £140, so I took the £149 option (£159 actually, since they add on your £10) since the transfers were better.

Was also offered the option of waiting for my £10 cruise in 2006 but Crystal (tel 0871 872 5222) told me that she couldn't guarantee that there would be any cruise available.

Frankly, I'm disgusted. I'm lucky that I'm in a position to take time off work when I want and can afford the upgrade fee. However, this offer is NOT what was advertised in the paper and I will also be complaining to watchdog, as well as trading standards and rise travel and the DE.

i have paid £i59 for cruise thought it was best of a bad job.i fly 6.55 may 7 does any one have suggestions of overnight accom.at gatwick where car can be left?its bad time flying back weget to venice 8am and fly21.35.i think this offer has caused lots of problems,i was offered sept 2006 but to far off who knows what ayear brings and then get cancelled again.best of luck to those who got a £10 cruise.smokey new member.

I am on the MSC Opera cruise from Venice departing 21st May. Confirmation letter arrived yesterday. Paid £10 + £149 cruise upgrade + £31 cabin upgrade (grade 4) leaving from Manchester direct to Venice. Total paid £190. Please add me to the Who/Where list.
