Dalyan located just 25 min from the airport is a nice place with its rock tombs,mud baths turtle beach which is the breeding place of Caretta Caretta sea turtles etc... There are many nice hotels and apartments in Dalyan as well as first class restaurants (esp fish) and tour companies which arrange jeep safari and other activities

Is it easy to visit other areas
Looking for something reasonable,handy for the village as we will be in Turkey for a month, two weeks in Dalyan and two possibly Icmeler or Akyaka?

joan...i have just returned from my 4th stay at Dalyan this year and like you only ever visited on a day trip in previous years..when on a day trip you do not get a chance to see the true delight of the place...give it a go, last week i visited the YUNUS hotel to have a nose around with the view of booking for next June i did not delay in paying in full and also booked which room i wanted...if you wish to look at YUNUS they have their own website and are also featured in Anatolian Sky brochure... but there is no problem in booking direct with the hotel at a much lower rate.. hope you get sorted...WAKI

I have been looking at Dalyan as well for next year. What is the mozzie situation like? I have just recently been to Olu Deniz and got bitten on the first night on the top of my arm and the whole of the top of my arm swelled up, although the medicine I got from the pharmacy cleared it up within a couple of days, so am a bit worried about Dalyan, but really like the look of it.

Sandyglen... i think it's a bit hit and miss as to the mossie situation,although Dalyan has a lot of vegetation and the river running through i wasn't affected any more than other places in Turkey although my grandson looked as though he had got a very bad dose of chickenpox ..local spray (sin koff) before you go out helps keep them away... ..WAKI.xx
