has anyone tried the mini golf ? What is it like, any good ?

magng-just asked my kids and mini golf is good.
gloryboy4ever-yes they have snacks there is chicken ,ham,cheese,pasta,pizza,bread rolls,salad and chips ,the ham isnt real ham though.i think thats it.

Have a lovely holiday Razor and keep slapping on the sun-cream. Have a look at the Shakespeare Bar whilst you are there - I've heard good reports about it.

Hi Gloryboyforever, Shakespeare Bar is next door to the Hotel Bel Air. It is run by an English lady called Dawn and her Tunisian husband, Ramzi. Never been there myself as Sousse is my area of choice but it has a good reputation. They do meals and have plenty of entertainment, particularly on Friday nights apparently. There is also a restaurant called The View at Hammamet Yasmine, which is right on the beach, It too is run by an English lady called Kate and is rather quieter I believe but excellent food and a good cup of tea.

How far is carthageland from the dar khayam ? is it possible to get a taxi and if so how much does it cost ?

a taxi to cartage land costs about 5 TD and you can find them at the hotel... there are always some!!

went they and had a great time till we went on what i would call a ride the mexican hat, im sure the cranked up the speed as im a big man and even i didnt feel safe and if my daughter had been on her own im sure she would have come out the back of it, pluse a friend of ours ended up very battered from the same ride

think most heights restrictions were about 110mm -120mm

taxi cost us about 8 TD from from the hotel

hotel was great, very friendly staff Ali is our number 1 waiter and worth his weight in gold for pulling out all the stops for our daughters 10th birthday

pool was great and not to busy and nice and warm

rooms were smallish but not to worry as we only used them to sleep and change

food was ok and something for everyone and im a fussy eater and i didnt go hungry

weather was great most days up into the 40's

all i will say is we had a great holiday but i dont think i will go back again due to the fact as soon as you walked out the hotel you felt like you had woken up in a bomb site

the shops opposit the Dar Khayam were very pushy and when we went there to get some henna tatoos done they mad a mess but stilled wanted paying for it

the reps were rubbish didnt give us much information and half the time werent about, same as when we got to the airport she stated that the gatwick flight was 3 hrs delayed and she only just found out, once aboad the plane we were told the reson for the delay was the plane was grounded in zante for most of the morning and all reps should have known this as our flight wasnt till 9:30pm

annamation team watch you kids and wife's the entainment was rubbish same thing every night and all the guys in the annamation team seem to want to do was try it on with the kids mothers and young girls even to the point where we were down the beach and one of them was all over a holiday maker who was only about 15 / 16 and was rubbing her in intimate places in full view of the whole beach

airport if like us you get delayed at the airport make sure you have food with you as there are 2 cafe's and they serve rolls with ham and cheese which are more than likely 5 hrs + old and taste like rubber

they charged us close to 17 uk pounds for 3 rolls, 4 500ml bottle of coke and a packet of crisps [/b]

I'll be prepared, just in case. Got caught out in turkey once, £35 for 3x burger king basic meals

magsq was on looking at hotel one of the guys at work told me about flight from glasgow and noticed flights were saying they left at 09-45 from 07-50 asked at local shop told unless i`d had written confirmation they left at original time got tickets on sunday flight times stated 09-45 girl was amazed flying with thomas cook air
