Hello everyone, is there any of the H/T members had any bridge work done in Goa. My brother in law has just been quoted £2300 by his dentist to have his done here, I know friends of ours from the Marina Dourada who have had various things done, teeth whitening, fillings, tooth out ect, (my O/H visited the dentist in Feb and said she was the best dentist she had been to) but I am not sure how long it would take for any sort of bridge work to be completed, and if a 2 week holiday would be long enough. As my brother in law has never been to Goa I was thinking this may have been an option to kill 2 birds with 1 stone...thanks Keith

Hi

Im march I had my bridge done which involved 3 double teeth, in Candolim it took exactly 2 weeks. I had it fitted the day before I was due to fly home. Price was approx £300

I had bridge work done nearly 2 years ago. They put in a triple bridge. When I returned home and went to my dentist he was not happy with the procedure, they only put individual bridges in in the uk so you can clean between them, he said to put it right and prevent further complications it would cost about £900. To back this up he sent me to Newcastle Dental Hospital where I saw a Professor of Dentistry who backed him up. He advised me not to get any more treatment abroad as he has seen many examples of poor dentistry, especially in tourist areas.
Saying that I haven'thad any bother with the bridge, yet, execpt for a lump on my gum and m dentist had to drill through the brige to do root canal treatment (£180)

We are going to Baga in Jan, and wondered if the dentists there made a good job of teeth whitening and costs involved etc. Just got my forms for the visas getting them from a agent in Leicester end of this month. :hyper :  hyper

My friend's daughter had teeth whitening (and veneers) from Dr Ambert Pimenta in Calangute (also in Margao), during our last trip back in February.
She's very happy with the results.

Hi All

I had teeth whitening done Jan06, sorry cant remember dentists name but it was in Calangute, excellent result cost £300..

But word of warning if you are a smoker your teeth will go back to their normal colour, mine did probably lasted about 6 months!

We paid around £30 for bleaching (including the moulds) and about £16 for extra bleaching for when we came home to repeat in 6 months. Laser treatment would have been around £100 but we were happy with the results from the bleaching.
