urg, i couldnt touch the stuff at anytime before or on a flight
qatarman, never travelled business class, nearest I have come to that is Premium on Thomson Flight... I wish.
Miss Pink, I have to agree with you re badly behaved kids too. Thankfully, mine are now 14 and 18, but I would never have let them get away with behaviour like that when they were younger. It's even worse if the parents are a bit "merry" and let them away with murder, as happened to us on a flight to Turkey last year. There was a mum, grandmother and two kids - both mum and grandma were somewhat more than merry, and the kids ran riot throughout the flight - it was murder!
I know, I always brought my son into line when he mis behaved, when he was younger, but it seems the popular thing to do now is lets kids do what they like as long as the parents enjoy themselves. Sweepeing statement I know, and I am speaking generally of course - but in my recent experience it's sadly true
i have to, couldn't do a flight without a bit of dutch courage first!! i hate flying, it terrifies me!
Went to Salou last week for a few days 10am flight no drink either in airport or on plane but that first san mig when we got there went down well!!
Have flown to Cyprus a few times early morning. No drink at airport but a couple of wines during flight.
Flew to Kenya last year 8pm flight. A couple of Strongbows at the airport(cos i know I wont get any for a couple of weeks) and just had one wine during flight cos it was longest flight we'd done and will do same again in just over 6 weeks time!!!!!!!!!!!

once we arrive at airport and check in and have got rid of suitcases thats us in holiday mode (cause i normally spend the whole time to the airport worrying that i have forgot something )so we always go get some food and have a couple of drinks no matter what time of day or night it is but never drink that much on the plane
I only drink during evening flights. I hate seeing hoards of people drinking alcohol at 5.30 am in the morning after checking in. Would they do it at home????? Some peoples drinking habits are a bit weird in holiday mode.
Does it really matter what time you drink alcohol. My hubby works nights so his habits will be different to others....
Then on a daily basis (great if we book a year in advance!) Joke!
We do whatever suits us - if we fancy one then we have one.
I love it at airports where there are groups of people (stags/hens)who have worked
hard and looked forward to getting away and start their holiday with a party.
(On their return trip, they are never quite so happy though)
Why do people look down on others who like a tipple? As long as they are not bothering
anyone why does it matter? Sometimes you feel like there is the 'drink police' about.
You never hear people comment about the amount of food comsumed though, do you?
Just imagine if the airlines start weighing the passengers as well as the baggage.
Then I will have to give up all the things I love!
Do ppl complain if ppl want a ciggie in the morning?..... i dont smoke but i dont put a time on when ppl can or cant smoke
I would not smoke at an airport whilst having an early morning drink........
but only because smoking is banned! Hee Hee
A while back, we went to the lounge at Malaga airport and the Hostess asked
if we would like be in the smoking or non-smoking room room.
You can guess which one we went to! (I am going to give it up though!)

I most certainly would not and I don't suppose there are many that do . Then again, there are quite a few things I do on holiday that I wouldn't do at home Main one being, sitting/lying around reading for hours. I think relaxing in one of the airport bars all adds to the holiday atmosphere.
I dont drink just because i'm at the airport , i have a drink because i'm on holiday , and if i dont want a alcoholic drink then i have a coffee or tea, i dont sit there saying ......... cor he/she is having another or how many is that . The only thing i do notice right or wrong of me is , families with young children sat drinking but who am i too judge we are all on holiday i know so i do apologise
Personally, I dont think it matters what time of day or night you have a drink or how much, provided you are in control and not a bother to other passengers - and as for the families with young children, having a drink and being 'sensible' can't see the harm - but rolling drunk is a different story
It dehydrates me and the effects of even one drink are heightened due to the cabin pressure, which makes me feel woozy
definately yes no matter what time we fly,its time to holiday.my holiday starts at the airport then a couple on the plane, but i dont get drunk just merry
Good for you madmadge - your are our kind of gal!
Yes but if you were at home and to get up really early like 4.30......would you grab a tinny????? I just think it's strange that's all and that's my opinion Chin, Chin!
