The seat plans are sometimes released a day or two before the 90 days, I've certainly chosen mine 92 or 93 days before so just keep checking on the run up to the 90 days. Due to the nature of aircraft seating, it's inevitable some won't be sat together or split across an isle. If you get in there first though, you shouldn't have that problem.

Thanks again Darren, obviously its still up in the air ( pardon the pun, doh !!) as regards the dreamliner, but I know in premium its 2-3-2, so we would want the 3 middle seats somewhere, but I have no clue as to the seat configuration on a replacement craft in premium, any idea ?
sorry for fussing, am just worried that if we are able to choose the dreamliner seats 90 days in advance together and that it is still not flying nearer the time, they may just chuck us anywhere on another plane !
I do appreciate that this question is so far in advance ( we haven't even gone on our majorca holiday yet !!) so any kind of feedback would be great !

It's 2-3-2 on the 787-8 and Boeing 767-300/ER so it'll make no difference. If, and more that likely at the moment, your flight is changed to the 767-300/ER, you should be given the same seats. All the seat plans are on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Cheers for that, made me feel better now, I will just keep checking for when the flight plan is open a few days before .
Obviously we would love for it to be the dreamliner, but if not, i'm sure its nice and comfy on the 767 .

First commercial flight since the grounding!! Ethiopian Airlines 787 took off this morning from Addis Ababa!!

Information I'm hearing is Thomson Airways have been given a delivery schedule for the Boeing 787-8 as June 2013, no specific date as yet but I'm sure they have one internally. This will mean they should be entering short haul service sometime towards the middle or end of June, July and early August, then entering long haul service sometime mid to end of August. I'll update further as I get it, but good news at last.

Cheers for the info Darren. I'm not holding my breath - we're due to fly mid August, so it'll be cutting it very fine as to whether we fly on the 787. In all honesty, for us it's a win/win situation. If the 787 is in service we get to fly on a new aircraft, if it isn't we get some money back to buy Tequila!! 
This will be my first trip abroad for over 20 years so as long as I get there I'll be happy. As a youngster I flew on a Comet and a Bristol Britannia and the last time I flew you could still choose smoking or non-smoking. I'm not what you would call a "frequent flyer"

Marshwiggle, If I were you I would not mention smoke on a 787. They have had enough smoke troubles already!!!

Whoohoo ! Fabulous news about the dreamliner, so happy, rock on the 4th august !!!
Thank you Qman, looks like I won't be getting money back to buy Tequila and I'll remember to take my own Ferrero Rocher!! 
Just booked my seat numbers for the Dreamliner :))) 75 days and counting .......
did you have any problems getting the seats you wanted , have heard lots of people saying they had trouble with seat numbers not showing etc . thanks

Thats the date we fly back....... are you flying from Manchester ??? You should be able to book your seats on Saturday 26th may at midnight.....good luck with your seats and have a great holiday x

Hi daz, just selected my seats on the dreamliner yay !! Thanks for the heads up about checking a few days before, i think i may have been the first at 89 days before as i had the whole of premium as a choice, so i went and chose row 7 thinking we could recline without bothering anyone as its the last row in premium, please say these seats recline ???!!
