juby 5,
Having never been onboard this aircraft as yet, I can't say for definate, but they should be the same as current aircraft and have full recline on that row. Questions that are specific to Thomson Airways are probably better posted on the Thomson thread rather than the general Dreamliner topic.
Qatar Airways brought one of their Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners in to Manchester for the first time yesterday and will so again on their lunchtime arrival in to Manchester today. These are the first commercial flights of the type to come in to Manchester. 9 more days, TOM will be having their first one delivered, arriving at 0535 on Friday 31st May with their second on 2nd June.

Juby, the information I was given (from someone who has a screenshot of a seat booking) is that it says Row 6 G/J seats states No Rec and Row 7 A/C seats states No Rec.
Thankyou Darren, much appreciated, sunaddict, we have chosen 7 D,E,F the last row of 3 in premium, so hopefully we're good for a snooze !
has anyone one else had any trouble like this

is anyone posting pictures of the dreamliners arrival and if so can we view them wouldlove to see fans pictures as well as official ones , thanks
Have a look at airliners.net im about a weeks time or Jetphotos.net. TAS Manchester also has some. I'd have posted some but I'm at a wedding this weekend.
thank you will do so next week then
heres a link for seat guru with seat plan and a couple of pictures of the interior
oh not happy the seats are 3-3-3 was hoping for 2-4-2 this means all couples will have a stranger next to them !!!!
The majority of airlines have chosen 3-3-3, proof the accountants rule the world! Only Jal and ANA have gone for 2-4-2 in economy.
is 39 xtra leg room though as we have pre-booked that.
madasharley,
thanks Darren looks like we will have to sit by someone else then as well..
Just hearing another Dreamliner has caught fire at Heathrow ?
It happened yesterday at around 1630. There's no suggestion at the moment it's a repeat of previous problems. It's under investigation so lets await the results rather than speculate.
Latest is on the BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23298349

Just concerned mate.
Darren, people like speculating this is what keeps sites going!
My guess on this is that the whole 787 program has been beset by problems and delays. I don't enjoy this, I feel sorry for Thomson and their passengers who have been inconvenienced.
If I were in charge of TUI, I would be ordering A350s ASAP.
I agree, but the media is fuelling a massive storm and putting 2 and 2 together to make 22 at the moment. There is nothing to suggest the Ethiopian problem is battery related at the moment. While it's unclear what has happened, it's being investigated by various authorities, there's no point in putting theories forward based on no information as it does no one any good. The Thomson problem was a minor problem (electric issue I'm told) and also unrelated. New aircraft have teething troubles, especially when they involve new technology, albeit Boeing have had some serious issues with the 787. Airbus and other aircraft manufacturers have had their fair share of issues with new types so it's nothing unique to Boeing. The A350 is likely to have teething issues too, like other Airbus aircraft including the A380. I wouldn't write off the 787 as yet although it would seem there are still issues to be resolved. The Thomson air-return is getting a lot of press as it coincided with the Ethiopian incident and the fact is was a 787. It's called the issue attention cycle, the A380 had the same interest when it entered service and the A350 and Bombardier C series will do too. There was no mention of the various other incidents yesterday that involved other types were there? Lets just wait for the the facts to be released before everyone jumps to conclusions, that's all I'm saying. All of TOM's 788's are flying today.
