Hi Rachel,

I don't use the speedy boarding myself but think that you have done the right thing as you are very nervous, when boarding be very positive of where you want to sit, don't hesitate and you should have no trouble what's so ever, enjoy the flight and have a good holiday, everything will be fine

Rachel, flown with easyjet once, didn't use speedy boarding personally but it definitely gave those who did a head start/first choice of the seats.

Speedy is worth it if your bothered about the exact seat your in but I think it'd be incredibly hard luck to not get a seat together, though last time I flew easyjet the Speedy Boarding check-in had a massive queue and there was no-one in the normal queue

One thing I'd tip is that its always worth boarding through the rear of the plane...that door is open for a reason, use it! Admittidley landing abroad with a front entrance jetty is a pain but no big worry

:tup to Easyjet cabin crew on 1020 flight from Copenhagen to Stansted on 5th August. Hubby decided he wanted us to sit on front row which meant hand luggage had to go in overhead locker, no problem with that. I also had bumbag round my waist which had pouch holding ipod and accesories attached to it. 1 member of crew said that it had to go in overhead locker and I said that it had my ipod which I didn't want to get damaged if big bags in locker moved in flight. She said ok. Another member of cabin crew then comes over and said that it had to go in locker and I started to say what about my ipod, she then said that she was putting it in their overhead locker which is actually above the seats opposite and I was ok with that as my bumbag was on the top so no chance of ipod getting damaged. think first memebr of staff might have asked the 2nd what ruling was, bumbag was attached round my waist. I asked if I could have bumbag down once seat belt signs were off and was told this would be ok. Seat belt signs go off and without me having to ask, cabin crew got my bumbag down for me. seat belt signs came on for landing and again cabin crew put bumbag in their locker.

Speedy boarding is fine if you don't have to go on a bus to get to the plane. On a number of occasions people with speedy boarding have just been sitting on the bus until it's full.

Does anyone know when the schedule for April '09 will come out? I'm looking to book flights to Lanzarote from London for next Easter. Any idea what the average price was for this year - not sure whether to book now with another airline or hold on for Easyjet?

Hi

we are flying with easyjet at the weekend and wandered if hand luggage is free to take on or do they charge at the airport on departure if we take any?

Thanks

Hello Liz

Hand luggage is free with Easy Jet and most lost cost airlines, Your one piece of hand luggage must fit in their measuring frame with the only restriction on weight being that you can lift it unaided in to the locker.

Hope this helps, their website will give you all the information that you need.

Enjoy your flight,

Hi,please can any one answer this query.
My daughter has booked a holiday with cresta to disneyland paris flying with easyjet. This is a package booked at a Thomas cook shop.Booked july going in october.Does anyone know if the luggage allowance is included as she keeps getting conflicting responses.I have also put this on the complaints thread due to another issue.
thanks genine

Hi hassie1 ... on a package holiday, the permitted luggage allowance is specific to the tour operator rather than to the airline.

Easyjet have a free baggage allowance of 20kgs, however there is a charge for each piece of luggage checked into the hold. Passengers booking direct with Easyjet can pay that baggage fee online at a reduced rate, or at the airport at a higher rate.

The Cresta Holidays website is unclear about the free baggage allowance, however they are clear in saying that a baggage fee will be advised at the airport. My guess would be that Cresta will allow your daughter a free baggage allowance of 20kgs, but she will be charged a fee per checked bag by Easyjet. There is no fee for hand luggage. However, that is only a guess and for absolute confirmation, it would perhaps be a question for Cresta rather than Easyjet. Presumably the booking confirmation is no clearer than the website ? You say that you have posted in Complaints, but it may actually be worth posting in our Tour Operators forum in the hope of catching the attention of someone who has been on a similar Cresta holiday.

Speedy Boarding

I've booked a flight for 2 elderly friends next weekend with Easyjet and they are the last 2 seats on the plane. Now I'd like to book speedy boarding for them and I have a £30 credit file with easyjet after my previous flights were reduced, would I be able to use my credit file?

yes i am sure you can, i have done this before; but you have to do it over the telephone you are not able to redeem credit file refunds on the internet.

Hello :D am after some reassurance please, have booked holiday with ulookubook flying luton/alicante with easyjet. Have heard about this advance passenger information which supposedly has to be registered before you fly. Can't fill details in on easy jet's site because booking not through them.
ulookubook tell me that details can be given at check in and not to worry about it. I am worried!
want to be sure we get on the flight.
someone please reassure me :D

I fly to spain several times a year, and the only airline I've physically given the advanced info to is Ryanair. All the others must have done it as part of check in. If I remember correctly its your name, passport number and date of birth they want, which they can easily take at check-in.

You should be fine.

Easyjet request that passengers booking online fill in the Advance Passenger Information on the website

However most charter airlines and BA ask for both online or at check in (whichever is easier for you)

Here's the Department for Transport link

http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/aviation/international/advancepassinfo?page=1

Here's the Easyjet link

https://www.easyjet.com/EN/News/api_spain_september.html

Seems Easyjet only want the information online, so I'd give them a ring to be sure or perhaps to avoid 10p a minute calls, ring the local airport as they should know

Thanks for the replies, we're just going to turn up in plenty of time for the check in, am fed up of trying to phone/e mail.

a friend is travelling with them tomorrow and has only hand buggage allowed, if she wants to take a piece of hold baggage and pay at the airport what will the charge be?
