Are you sure it will be cheaper over there? I asked exactly this question on here recently

I know you asked before and I replied then saying we paid 195 although I had seen it advertised cheaper. It was only cheaper by 10pounds and that was down near the harbour and also at a place on the triangle near the Amathus hotel.

We booked ours 6 days before the trip and the Tuesday suited us fine as it was half way through our 2 weeks. They definately had 2 other days but one of those was flying from Larnaca.

we are thinking of taking the trip to the pyramids - can anyone tell me what days this is available ? or where i can find out more about it ?

Day trip to Egypt from Protaras?

Not clear to me from reading previous comments, but does anyone know if you can fly from Larnica to Cairo on the one day trip, or is it just from Paphos, which I believe is a two hour drive from Larnica? Thanks

Possibly going to Protaras in October - does anyone know if the day trip to Egypt flies from Larnica, or is it only Paphos and if so how long does it take to get from Protaras to Paphos airport - I went to Egypt a few years ago and we flew from Paphos which was a mega long day, but worth every minute and I'm wondering if the experience is 'lessened' by adding on the travelling tme from Protaras ie is something from the trip missed out to compensate for the travelling time if you know what I mean!

Hi All will try again with this post.My wife and I are going to cyprus on 4th oct 06 for 2 weeks, have read all posts but have we come to any definite answers to the following. (1) can we do the egypt day trip and fly from larnaca as we are staying in pernera?
(2) what days are the trips they say fri is best as it is their holy dfay any info please.
due to illness we did not go to cyprus last year but this will be our 4th year and we have been counting the days for 8 months,still in exactly 4 weeks we should be enjoying our keo. regards gary and kim

Hi Gary - Jaimec posted a reply he/she got from info@seaislandtravel.com but that only mentioned the excursion from Paphos. Why don't you try emailing. We booked with an agent in Paphos for the Tuesday flight with Sea Island, but I can definately remember her advising us to book asap as the only other tour that week departed from Larnaca - so there must be one. Good luck with your search as its a fabulous trip.

Gary, when I checked out a few companies it was only from Paphos, so it would be an early start and a long day.

If you find anyone departing from Larnaca in September time, please let us know.

When I emailed the 2 companies, I was told departing from Paphos.

its typical too...my friends wedding date is the Wednesday at 12 noon (hot!), (happy but sad at same time) We might still go on the Tuesday, day before the wedding and hope we stay awake. Thursday...we might be too hungover :glynis

If anyone finds one departing from Larnaca and or on a Monday/Friday please let us know.

When we did this trip last year from Ayia Napa there were no flights from Larnaca, we had to get a coach to Paphos, we were out of our resort for 24 hours but still very worthwhile!

Day trip to Egypt

We're off to Cyprus for a week between the 15th-22nd October, and as a treat we are going to do the day trip to Egypt. Do we need visas or just our passports, and is it worth taking any Egyptian cash for any bits and pieces? Also, could anyone tell me the average trip cost, we are going to sort it out over there?

Excursion to Egypt from Elysium Hotel

Has anyone been on the day trip to Egypt (flight, sights, cruise and dinner £250pp) which is currently being offered to guests at the Elysium? Was it good, was it bad and was it good value? Respond soonest please.

Hi, I notice that dojoman43 went on the trip with an 11 yr old we would like to do this, but how much is it and do children get a reduction? I would love to take my grandson as we have been to Egypt and loved it, he really wants to see the pyramids.

We are off to Paphos in May and want to do the cruise to Egypt, can some one advise me wether I should book before we go or would it be better to wait until we get there. We will also want to rent a jeep for several days so maybe we could get a good deal on the both, any help please?

We are staying in Protaras 8th-22nd April and are hoping to do 2 day Egypt Cruise, I cannot find a Company online that sails this early, does anyone know where I can try or might it be possible to arrange in resort?
