The Lanzarote Business Association, a non-profit association that promotes business and social well being on the island, is organizing the Father Christmas Parade and Fireworks 2010 in Puerto del Carmen.
Please visit the association event page for all the infos.
We will be holding a parade on the Avenida de Las Playas from between the San Antonio Hotel and the Los Fariones Hotel on 24th December 2010. The parade will take place between 18.00 and 20.00.
The parade will consist of Father Christmas in a sleigh, surrounded by presents, being pulled along by horses. Following Father Christmas will be a Batucada band dressed as Father Christmases. Then following the band we aim to get as many people to follow dressed as Father Christmas who will be giving out sweets to the children lining the Avenida.
We will also be contacting the Guinness Book of Records to see if we can beat any previous attempts at this.
The bags of sweets being given out to the children will also contain a booklet of 10 vouchers. These vouchers will be advertising the excursion and offering discounts/free places on the excursion (e.g. one free child place per paying adult). Sponsorship will be available of the sleigh.
