When we went there we just asked for seafood market and the taxi driver took us there. If its the same place its where you push a trolley around (much like Tesco) and select your fish/shellfish and other ingredients and then its handed over to the cooks with their turbo wok-burners to do their magic on it. See link below.

Its one of the first restaurants I visited in Thailand seventeen years ago...the food was great....well as one of my first experiences of Thai food.
Was given this one, it's on my to do list, Flying Chicken Restaurant, 99/1 Bangna-Trad Road, Bangna, seems the cooks shoot the chickens (cooked) the waiters catch them then serve them. will look first
WOW do you get to choose which one
If its gritty you will know it is one the waiters failed to catch
Also any restaurant recommendations in Silom area (noted Fiona's comments about the Mango Tree in her trip report, are there any others nearby worth thinking about ?)
Iain
I think Baan Khanitha is in that area. Haven't been to that one but the one just off Sukhumvit is good
We went on the Loy Naya cruise. It was an excellent evening. The food was brilliant and plenty of it, we left loads! They have dancers to entertain whilst having the meal and the waiters are really attentive. We went on the early cruise hopefully to see more before it went too dark. When we finished the cruise we asked them to drop us at the Lebua state towers and went up to the top to have a drink. It was fantastic, unbelievable views! Have a great time whatever you decide to do.
Thanks mate, sounds like it will be Loy Nava then (and possibly Lebua State Towers as well)
the Deck by the River, a restaurant on the river, with great views of the stupas and pagodas of Wat Arun
La Piola - an Italian restaurant, with food cooked by an Italian momma, lovely, on Sukhumvit Road
