Hard Rock Cafe at Morjim Beach. Great food, the Garlic King Prawns with a lovely dressed side salad is probably my favourite lunch ever..........

Jonny his brothers and lads are very hospitable, and they are the only beach shack we used which hadn't put up their prices this season.

Hey Goakid, we love it at Claudinas too. Anthony and Alex really look after everyone and the atmosphere is great. Give our love to Ramesh and John the best beach lads in the whole of Goa (from Jane and Pete in Manchester!).

I love the Big Banana been going there for years its right in the middle of Baga beach so you get to see whats going on for miles. Francis and his wife are lovely and they now also have a very nice guesthouse that I stayed in a couple of years ago.

Hi Alfmac

I agree with you, Squeeze is the best I just got back on Monday after spending everyday on the beach there with them, they cant do enough for you they are a great bunch of lads. It's a shame Bobby wasn't there this year as you said he was lovely but Shiva looked after he is just as nice.

Cant' wait to go back next year now.

Hi. Big Banana's Steak burger and Chips are the best and only cost 80 /- rupees/ A bargin. Its great to watch their fire works on a Wednesday evening when they also do a barbeque.

Could not agree with you more Shemina, the steak burgers are top notch & the lads in the shack are great, not so sure about uncle though, he sends the sellers packing, which is ok if you want him to. But over the years we have built up good relationships with some of them, & most of the time they only want to chat to us. Surely if they were bothering us, we would ask for his assistance & he would help to get rid of them.

The boys at Silversands are a great bunch and have so much time for you.

Britos do lovely food and their cakes are to die for.

Hi, Just got back last night from calangute. We used TGI FRIDAY beach shack every day.The chicken vindaloo washed down with a cold kingfisher is awesome !! I think, to be fair, a lot of the beach shacks are excellent but it's just a matter of picking one and you'll be impressed.

Hi Goa fans

Had yet another fantastic time in Candolim, we have been going there for years but only tended to use one shack, this year we have tied a couple more. Roosies Sunset Shack was very good, the food was good, hot and served very quickly.

A friend of mine had tried Calamari and I joined her for a drink there and found it to be very relaxing, the waiters didn't bother you and it was a very enjoyable time. I would say give them a try if only to have a different view of the lovely area.

Can't wait for next season.

Bobby's on Candolim has been recommended several times on other threads but not here - so lets here for Sanj, yel (sic), Cash Ragu and all the boys who really look after you all day every day with great food and drinks and chat! As I have just said in another thread first time we went to Goa (took husband for 50th) was gob smacked by Magnum and so dragged him down to the beach that evening for a nose and found Bobby's - saved our sanity after the madness of arriving!
