Well as you can guess I am promoting Ganesh shack to anyone staying down that way (Prazeres/Victor Exotica/Whispering Palms/Sunset Beach Resort/Ruffles).
To get there from the main road - walk down past the whispering palms (on your left) and continue to the end of the beach road. You will now see the ship in front of you.Walk on to the sand and look to your left (diagonally) you will see a beach mat that will take you to Ganesh shack.
If you stand and look straight forward you will see Sudahs shack - she will have her dingos out on the prowl and will attempt to drag you in to her shack with petty sob stories - do not listen and keep heading for Ganesh's.
He has been really impressed with all HTers who have been this season, and would like to thank anyone else who would like to visit.
A hard working lad with good family staff and a very good chef.
Sorry to keep pushing the place, but to see what he has achieved over the last 9 years is amazing and i have all the respect for him - so when the season starts up again for 06/07 I will be pushing even more !!!

It's got to be Tidal Wave for me. Again what Warren has achieved is amazing. Agree with Spike about Ganesh but he has had a lot of help from people - but then I suppose they all have.

Also like Rams - i'd defy anyone not to like his samaso's and i'm glad that no-one has mentioned Pete's shack. Obviously our little oasis in the beach is still not too well known

It has to be Fishermans paradise for me, you couldnt get friendlier staff than here, Sam, Stanley, Peter Damien etc its owned by Tony and his brother Sylvester owns Buddha bar shack next door but one to it. to get to it you go down the little windey road next to St Anthonys Chapel (the one in the middle of the road like a roundabout!!!) in Clangut, on route you pass Vilo Villa a great little guest house and restaurant run by Lavina and her parents Lourdes and Victor,
anyway getting back to Fishermans the Shiva cocktail is to die for!!!!! there is great music good food and excellent service :D

Chilly can you give us all the recipe for a Shiva cocktail, i know you told me how it's made when we met at Lazy Days but i've forgot :( :? and summer is suppose to be approaching.

thanks Jayne :wave

Hi Jayne, good to hear from you
The shiva is made with cold iced coffee (sounds horrid but is so lush!!) honeybee all whisked up and ice cream dolloped in, i have been making them here in the house sometimes and they are delicious!! but never quite the same as on the beach looking at the ocean!!! Good luck

Ganesh's shack, Candolim is still the one for us. We went to him last year and went back again this year. His menu is excellent and his new chef is great. He's open in the evening too. He goes every day to the market so if there's anything you want he'll bring it for you. Very friendly place. We'll be back next year too.

yep has to be Ganesh Shack for me too. Superb host and great food at unbelievable prices. Have had a text message since arriving home wishing us well and a speedy return from Ganesh. Anything you wanted was arranged by Ganesh and his friendly family and staff including Mr Cool himself- Baboo. 8) Downside was that i had too sit and listen to this mad yorkshire scaffolder, spike i think his name was, and his even madder wife Shirley ! Nice to meet Gail (GEC) and Ray too and many others who have been going to Ganesh Shack for many years. Hopefully havin my birthday party there next Feb. fingers crossed !

Alan - I owe you one for that.. mad .. me ! was on my best behaviour for 2 weeks ( i think  )
As for the 'scafolder' gag - we are still laughing at seeing your face,
Dee (Shirly Temple) says hello to Jackie (Calamity Jane) and hope she wasn't too ill, any ideas of the cause ?
I'm going to make Jackie a badge so she can join the club,i'll send it over to Ganesh so he can present it to her !!
Nice meeting you both and glad you liked the place so much to return again.
Phil.

sorry about that Phil, couldnt resist  Calamity says the best laf she had all holiday was at the HT meeting. She got her tamborine out and is composing a new song for next years meet. Also polishing the triangle for Shirley  Calamity thinks she might have caught a bug on the plane home, i blame the food ! as in the meal we had in London, it was disgusting. Last time i will ever visit a hungry horse establishment. Hope u and Shirley are well and u never know,we might see you next year again.

Hi Gemma , we also loved Oceanic shack in Baga - the lads are so friendly - especially Raj and Arun.
Can't wait to go back there - we are staying in Candolim so may try Ganesh shack , Bobbys shack or Claudinas.
