I think the Honolulu has grown more popular with the late teens/early 20s crowd even more so since I went (5/6 years ago). First year we stayed there it was still quote family orientated with a few groups of friends there, but the 2nd year it was nearly all hen/stag parties and groups of young people on holiday together. And from recent reviews I have read on various websites it seems to have stayed that way. It doesn't have a football pitch - but depends what you want from a hotel, if a football pitch is high on your list then you are limited in choice I guess. Whereas we were more interested in the All Inclusive option as it cost us £80 more than self catering for 2 weeks (at the time) and we knew we would spend more than £80 on food and drink in 2 weeks. We wouldn't go to BCM every night as the smaller clubs open until 6am anyway and if they are having a foam night that wouldn't start until about 3 or 4am anyway. When we used to go to BCM we would go there about 3ish, but they had the BCM First Floor Bar in those days (Not sure if it is still there?) on the strip where you paid 16 euros before midnight and got a stamp, and got to drink for free (although you had paid 16 euros) in the bar, and also free entry to the club at any point and some free gifts. This also enabled you to drink for free in the club as well - the bar was above KFC in the strip but I think I heard it had closed?

Thanks for the detailed responses btw girlingreen, much appreciated! I would say a football pitch is quite high on our list of priorities, I dont think we'd be up for sitting on our arses all day, pretty active bunch of lads. Plus it can be great banter, we're all from a town in Scotland and its great to have games against the English, Irish etc. Played in some magic games in the past, one in particular where a game was organised between the Scots and English at the Fiesta Tropico which is just next to the Jungla, and when the all arrived for Kick off, the fencing around the 5-aside pitch was decked in Scotland & England colours by guests that had heard about the match and had turned up to watch!

Think we'd be all keen to go out to eat quite a few evenings, so that sorta eliminates the whole point of going All inclusive but I the Jungla isnt all inclusive anyway so..

Yeah i think its still like that, pay 20Euros to get in and its a free bar all night. Plus go a little early, get your gifts and go back to your room to dump them then go back to BCM! How varied is the nightlife? Is all the smaller clubs(boomerang, bananas etc) huge raves like BCM? or is it different?

It was a while back that I went, but I wouldn't say BCM is a full on rave up either - certainly not in the league of the big clubs in Ibiza. The smaller clubs have foam parties and popcorn parties (well they used to) and played normal club music and also the bars nearly all have dance floors and dancing etc. BCM did play some cheesy type music when I was there actually!!

Still pretty massive.

Do you think we'd be right to book it in a month or two? what wud u recommend?

Depends really, I haven't been on a package holiday in such a long time as we do DIY long haul now. Last time we went, we booked in between the Christmas and New Year break as there were loads of good deals on, but I think you can usually pick some good deals up at the end of the summer season ready for the next year. Have you got a budget?

Well I think its the Jungla is a dead cert for next year, and that is about £600 for flights there and back and 2 weeks in the Jungla and we'd be happy to pay that, no fuss, just pay it and its sorted. But the thing is just knowing if it will be cheaper closer to the time, or now.

I just had a quick look and I couldn't find availability for the Jungla during peak season next year so if you have your heart set on Magaluf and are happy to pay £600 (wherever you saw that) then i would book asap, as once it is booked it is sorted - there would be nothing worse than leaving it in case prices went down and then you missed out -especially with a large group of you going, you don't want there to be limited availability and some of you having to stay at other hotels. ~Especially as you are the organiser!!

It was on the Thomson site, its weird because i got results when searching for that before, but now, when i search for 3 adullts and 6 kids, it doesnt work and the jungla doesnt appear. but when i do 9 adults, it does appear
