im looking at cuba on 29th june at 09-15 from Gatwick though first choice but got a thomson fly code could you please let me know what aircraft if possible please would it be the same as the first choice one i flew to cancun with in september thanks in advance

First Choice and Thomsonfly have now merged and will become Thomson Airways from 1st May 2009. First Choice is no longer an airline; they're just a high street brand. Your flights are operated by an ex-First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find loads of information about them on this thread.

Hi Flash I am on that flight flew on it last year a very good trip flight also very good we are in Premier Cabin.

It does, thanks. Your flight numbers won't be FCA044 though. That's what caused the confusion. All flights are now operated under Thomsonfly's air operating certificate. It was the end of the 'Jetset' callsign and FCA prefix on 1st November 2008. Your new flight numbers are TOM045/6.

mmm so my flight for the 18th april to cancun is FCA070 but its now thomson airways so will my flight number change, went and asked agents today and she said its still the same???? confused

Hi, hopefully somebody can answer a couple of queries I have. I am flying to Maldives from Gatwick on 18th Jan (this Sunday) flight number FCA040, will it be a Thomson or First Choice plane? Also our tickets have been lost in the post so we have to have to collect our tickets at the airport on the day of departure, we booked this holiday months ago and paid the extra to sit together - will the fact that we are collecting tickets at the airport go against us when they are allocating seats a few days before as we might be classed as late bookings? One more question is it worth going to the airport more than 3 hours before departure to make doubly sure we will sit together or once they've allocated your seats that is it, no changing??

Your Flights Will Be On An ex First Choice Boeing 767-300ER,

It Should Make No Difference To Your Seating The Fact You Are Picking Your Tickets Up From The Airport,

As For Arriving Early, They Pre Allocate Seats The Day Before So Arriving Realy Early Wont Make A Difference

As an addition to GowerL7's post, your flight numbers are actually TOM031/2 rather than FCA041/2. All flights are now operated by Thomsonfly (Thomson Airways) under the merger, hence the change in flight numbers.

Hi there,

We are flying out this coming Monday morning from Gatwick to Punta Cana. There was no sign of our tickets in the post and I emailed FC web team who responded that we could collect our tickets at the Airport. We are flying in from Dublin on Sunday night at 8.30 and we wanted to take advantage of the day before check in. I have mailed GC back as to the opening times of the ticket desk on Sunday evening to allow us check in whilst at Gatwick on Sunday night rather than leaving a hour earlier from the hotel on Monday morning. Any advice, as we have not recieved a response from FC on this?

It's normal to collect your tickets on the day of your flight if you don't get your tickets within a week or two of your departure date. I think you might be struggling to get your tickets the night before as I don't think the ticket desk will be open that late on a sunday. Rather than email, I would give them a call to enquire about it.

We are booked to fly to Punta Cana on 30th April 09. Flight number TOM033 originally booked with first choice.

I have been calling every couple of months checking on upgrade prices for premier (FC). On my last call - last month they said they are not taking anymore bookings for First Choice Upgrades and that these will be allocated at check in??

Does this mean all the premier class seats are now full? (they did not say they were when I called) just told me I could no longer book upgrades if my holiday was with first choice

Have used the premier service previously and would like to do it again if the price is right! Does anyone have any information regarding this?

Also, when I booked originally, I had a 23kg weight allowance, when the confirmation came through, it stated I had a 20kg allowance, that was fine, just thought they were bringing it in line with thomsons. I have now received a letter saying apologies but i am actually entitled to 25Kg (bonus)! Is this right? would hate to pack my suitcase and be totally wrong when I get to airport!

Any info would be great, this will be our honeymoon and I would love to do that something a bit extra.

Just looked on First Choice web site no premier seat left - Looked on Thomson web site Premier seats £165.00.

blackhill, there is usually somebody on the Thomson customer service desk at Gatwick from 2am to midnight, so you should still be able to get your tickets and check in tomorrow night.

We aren't at liberty to post information on passenger numbers on aircraft. Reasons here. However, the fact you can't book premium seating answers your question! As a star class passenger, you are entitled to a combined luggage allowance of 25kg, ie 20kg hold and 5kg hand. More details on First Choices website.

Snowy, As I booked with FC, I dont think I can upgrade with Thomsons now, even though they have merged.
