Correlajo has small town beaches, + fantistic beach by short bus/taxi ride, Harbour, countless restaurants and some shops.
Quiet a bit of walking though.
We use Oasis Dunas/Royal as is on the edge of the main strip so not so far to walk as Oasis Papagayp/Tamarindos.
Used Travel Republic.co.uk for last 2 years - click on package holiday but select your flight and apartment separately.
Best beaches are by car. El Cotillo 15-20 minutes, North side sheltered lagoons, south side surfy beach.
Been 11 times in 12 years.

PS Forgot to mention - invest in a beach shelter for the baby, you'll need it.
