I would say Arenal d'en castell, 25 mins from airport, a good base to see the rest of the island, a beautifull horseshoe bay, clean beach, a good selection of restaurants.

Others will say son bou, which is a very long beach.

Fornells is nice, it has the harbour with a few restaurants overlooking it.

Or son parc, again a nice horseshoe bay, a good selection of restaurants.

Take your pick!!!!!

Hi, i would say Calan Bosch, we have been there as a family several times, the marina area is beautiful, the centre of the resort is set around a pretty marina where there are literally dozens of restaurants and bars, all very very family orientated, the beaches there are not as big as in some resorts but are gorgeous none the less! we've spent many a happy holiday paddling and building sandcastles on it!
Also ther are lots of fun things for children to do in the resort (you didnt mention if your baby is your only child or not) like a water park and bouncy castle parks etc.
Its close to the lovely old capital of cuitadella too which is beautiful and well worth a visit.
Wehave stayed in paradise club before which we liked more than others in the resort but have now found some lovely private villas and have found that actually works out cheaper for us! and is better with little ones as you are away from all the hustle and bustle and with much more space than in a hotel or apartment.
hope that helps!

I would second Cala N Bosch. We took our daughter last year. Although she is 3 (and a little older than a 9 month old :) ) she had plenty to do. It is very geared for families with smaller children. Very flat and easy to walk around with a pram/buggy. I would also recommend the Casas Del Lago Apartments (with Thomas Cook). The travel cots that were provided (free of charge) were brand new (the one we had came out of the box having just been delivered!). The kids pool and surrounding grounds were immaculate. Cala N Bosch itself has a water park and an amusement park (with trampolines, bouncy castles and a good park area). There is no loud nightlife within the resort, just quiet low key pubs and loads of restaurants which love and cater for children of all ages. High chairs in abundance :) .

Wherever you chose on Menorca, it is a lovely island and I dont think you can go very wrong.

Calan Bosch is definitely the best resort for the first time visitor with a young family as it is flat, so no pushing buggies up and down hills. We first went there 13 years ago when my daughters were young and they still love it.I would avoid Calan Forcat unless you like Skegness with sunshine!

Hi,
As I haven't been to other places than Arenal I cannot say anything about them. However, we went to Arenal with three children, 1, 4, 6 last year and had a lovely time. It isn't flat but that didn't bother us. When they are that small I don't find it a problem if I have to carry the buggy a few meters. We stayed at the Aguamarina and there is a path nearly all the way down to the beach which is really close to the hotel, 100 meters or so. The beach is lovely for little ones, calm and not too many people. We could sit close to the water looking at our little boy playing. The hotel has a special pool for small children with sun beds around it. So there will mostly be families with small ones there. There is another pool for children by one of the big pools where families like us tend to be as our older ones like the big pool better. I think there seem to be lots of good places for families. I think Arenal is great because of the beach and the short transfer. I also really like the hotel.

Well I have to say if you want a relaxing family orientated resort, then try Cala Galdana, there is not much to do except admire the beauty... and relax on the wonderful beach.... and paddle in the clear safe bay... and then of course eat out at one of the many friendly restaurants.......not a lager lout in sight!!.....Bliss.

Although the other resorts mentioned are nice. With a young baby I would say Punta Prima, we have been here many times, hired a car and visited every part of this Island. With a baby I would definetly recommend Punta Prima...in fact we are going again in June and taking our 18 month old grandson (with his parents). It has the safest beach on the island, no stupid water sports, lovely clean sand and any facilities you might need, although its not commercialised!! :D

I also would recommend Cala'n Bosch as a resort for young children, as it is fairly flat. Cala Galdana, whilst very beautiful, is also very hilly. Cala'n Bosch has a marina, lovely beaches, and plenty of family friendly bars/restaurants, so would seem to tick all your boxes! We have stayed at the Sol Club Falco and the Menorca Star ( now the Valentin Star )and found them both very good.
