yes you can fish.just off the jetty where the boats come in is good.but if you can get round the rocks is better... either side of bay inlet
oh wonderful.that will keep the kids and men happy then, leaving us women to sip a cocktail or 2 around the pool
any more tips for us,eg what are good trips to go on and do they have jelly fish july/aug?
santa eulalia council have just passed new rules regarding beach use making them more sunbather/bather friendly. eg no dogs, no music (except through earphones), no ball games unless in designated areas, and no fishing during the day.
so what times are you allowed to fish?
I think she meant Beach fishing and fishing where there are swimmers. Go out to a headland away from a beach and you should be alright.

Not sure how serious the authorities will take it all
Could be that Hi De Hi is right - if you are well out of the way (or sight) of the main beach area.
Unfortunatly Soainis getting the H&S bug. If a lifeguard can see you fishing they may, if they can be arsed to walk that far, come over and tell you to stop. If they can't see you then don't worry, you never know, you may catch a snorkler!!
It isnt usually a problem in Ibiza but the law says you must have a beach fishing license. These cost only a few Euros and can be obtained from the Medio Ambiete offices in Ibiza Town with a passport copy. Here on the mainland the usual fine is €60 and the maximum €40,000 (I jest not)
Having just come back from Cala Llonga, plenty of people were fishing (and catching) from the jetty, I don't think there was alicense holder amongst them and the lifeguard didn't bother them. The only issue was the fisher'men' not moving from the jetty when the passenger boats were arriving with the skippers giving them short shrift!
