You might find the flight schedule page on Chania airports website useful. You might find Heraklion easier to fly to as there's a better european network linking HER to europe.
Darren
Thanks for the link to Chania airport. Id really prefer Chania as its about 90mins to Heraklion airport.
A 90 minute drive might be easier / cheaper than having to connect through Athens though.
Darren
As an airline enthusiast what rumours have you heard re Easyjet flying into Chania next summer ? Also whats the news on Olympic airways going private ? What would be the implication.
regrds
John
I've not heard anything about EZY starting Chania. I'd be surprised since they already serve HER and have an established airport transfer service to Chania. I wouldn't think there'd be much of an implication if Olmpic went private, they'd still operate the same network.
Darren
I think Olympic are having a wobble, despite being subsidized heavily by the Greek government. But not on the scale of Alitalia though!
What do you mean Easyjet operate a transfer from Heraklion to Chania?
Explain more please
John
They have what I assume to be an agreement with a local taxi company to arrange onward travel between the two areas. For more information, refer to Easyjets website.
Darren
Thanks for that I didnt realise Easyjet offered that service. Could be useful even as a comparison with local taxi companies. Thanks again Darren
