Hi everyone, i just thought id post this information which i have come across on the holiday complaints forum.
A lot of suitcases are getting broken ito- even with 2 padlocks on. Although i havent heard of this happening in Goa i still suggest you keep valuables in your hand luggage. It is mainly happening in Spain, they are stealing anything of value, e.g. video cameras, aftershave.
Im sure this sort of stuff will not happen in Goa but i just thought id warn you. It usually happens when your bags go through xray and if they are in contact with baggage handlers they can let them know if there are any valuables worth stealing.

Have any of you experienced this anywhere and what tips do you have, ive heard that you can get your luggage wrapped in clingfilm or something but i dont quite understand this?

Hi, just heard about the Indian airport strikes. Only mentioned Delhi, Calcutta and Mombai. Does anyone know if Goa is affected? Got friends going in a few days.

I have also seen the reports of wrapping cases in clingfilm, think it was on either spain or canaries forums.
heard no reports of any problems from goa but wifey always puts her jewellery either in the hand luggage or wears it.
Cameras etc go in hand luggage or in a "bumbag" which i wear onto the plane.
as far as i recall cases at dabolim are scanned and then strapped with plastic straps for security.
Myself never bother with locks etc, as if anyone wants to get in ..locks won't stop them .... and if anyone wants to put something in them ( ) then at least HMCE cant say that you MUST be responsible

Good idea Del. I think im not going to bother with padlocks either this time. Just going to carry valuables( video camera, money etc) in my hand luggage. There will be nothing worth stealing out of my case anyway ;)
Is there anyone on the monarch flight from manchester at 1pm on 6/4/06? I think its from terminal one but im not sure, can anyone clarify this?

Greetings My first Post on Goa Forum.

Want to visit for 2 weeks commencing 8th April and fly schedule for my second visit after a cramped monarch flight in October. Can anyone tell me how I book a flight from Mumbai to Goa and the best connection time / carrier to look for.

Thanks

Steve

Hello i know this question might seem a bit stupid  but what is the difference between charter and schedule? is it just you get more leg room? Also how do you go about booking it? when i book for Goa i can only seem to find charter flights available.
Do you have to book flight only to get a scheduled flight?
Thanks

p.s
is there much difference in price between the two ?

Hope it dosent have a knock on effect as we fly out later, Allan. :fly

Hi stevek370, we used spice jet flies at 16:15 from mumbai, cost us £47 return, and i think it was 14:35 from goa to mumbai, check their website.

Hi , replying to the monarch flight delayed. It says it has departed on manchester airport website so the delay wasn't too long. Hope it doesnt have a knock on effect to your flight allanmarian
