Hi everyone, I've been to Italy a couple of times but I will be going to Florence for the first time in June.
Going to be flying into Pisa and then going by train to Florence.
Just wondered if anyone can offer some advice as to places to visit and any places that you would recommend pre booking?
Thanks in advance
Florence is a fantastic city.Very compact and easy to walk round. All places of interest are within walking distance of each other.
If you want to see the Uffizi Gallery I would advise pre booking as the queues are very long if you don't.Also the Accademia which houses Michelangelo's David.I booked with florenceart.it Book soon if you can to get the time and date you want.
I missed out on the Uffizi all booked up even a month before.
The Duomo is interesting and not too long queues.
Lots of jewellery shops on the Ponte Vecchio but very expensive.
I loved sitting in the Piazza della Signoria where all the statues are including David.Great if you don't see the original.
Lovely restaurants and bars. You can't go wrong.Brilliant place.
