Full Winter Schedule now showing on Flyglobespans website. Unfortunately doesnt look like they are running flights to Orlando Sanford past November 1st
GG x
I had heard that there was a possibilty that Globespan would not be operating a winter schedule down to Sanford this winter - however also heard that they might wait a while before making that decision.
We were hoping they might be waiting - maybe if the exchange rate goes up, that will entice them to run a few flights this winter

can someone end an argument Im having with my friend? The 20kg luggage allowance is combined hand luggage and hold. I thought you could have any amount, meaning 2 kg hand, 18kg hold, aslong as you dont go over the 20kg, whereas my friend says it has to be 15kg in the hold in 5kg in the hand???
You're right, friend is wrong:
thanks!
Does anyone know what is happening with the Glasgow - Sanford flights on tuesdays. They seem to have disappeared until the 23rd June, friends are booked to go on the 9th June ,Globespan not forthcoming with information , just say there might be changes
Update, just heard all tuesday flights to sanford in may/june are cancelled.
We've settled for September again this year Fly out 30th August and return 13th September to Sanford Cant wait!
We have a holiday booked with a travel company, but our flights are with Globespan. Went online to book our seats and looks like you cannot do this unless you booked your holiday with them. The "manage your booking" cannot be got into without a holiday reference number, and since our holiday was not booked with them it does not accept our booking no. Has anyone ever managed to pre book seats with them and if so how? Thanks.
You could try phoning them to enquire about seat selection, I don't know if that's possible though. Contact details here. Your booking reference with the tour operator won't work as they've probably booked flights with GSM on your behalf and the reference number you have is the tour companies, not GSM's.

Pity nobody tells you this prior to booking
Not really Globespans fault though is it, your booking is with Direct Holidays and not Globespan, therefore it is up to Direct holidays to sort out a seat selection for you as it is them who has arranged your package. What i cant understand though is that if you dont have a Globespan reference number then how do you check in, as this is always the only thing that is required at the check in desk (it is a ticketless airline)
it actually is since they sold the holiday company a block of seats, regarding checking in we have been told that this will be with thomas cook airlines even though its carrier is sub contracted out. To add even more confusion we can get extra weight now by phoning globespan even though they cannot take the money for extra legroom seats or book any seats. Sounds crazy to you no doubt but you should try seeing it from our end, absolutely pathetic.
I tend to agree with Flem. This is an issue for the tour company and not the contracted agent (GSM) who are effectively only providing the aircraft/crew which they probably "won" through a competitive exercise to operate on behalf of the tour company.
To all of you who have replied, thank you. Will just have to get to the airport early as I have a fear of sitting at the back. Then again maybe I should go back to the girl who sold us the holiday to ask there!
The reason you can book extra luggage is when you book the extra you are given a seperate booking reference which covers your luggage and is not part of your original package. (unlike the seats which are under the original booking ref which the subcontractor has not given you). All you need to book extra luggage is the dates on which you want to carry it, (it is essentially a seperate booking).
Speaking of extra luggage allowance - i am sure we only paid £15 for 10kg extra last year (And they were charging £5 per kg over at the airport) but this year ive heard its gone up to £40 for 10kg and they're charging £10 per kg over at the airport! Eek!
can anyone tell me why globespan are using a B767 for its malaga, faro flights and is it the new B767 G-SPNA. Is it the same B767 that they are using for the sanford route
They often use larger aircraft (ie more eats) to popular destinations in the summer season. G-SPNA has been operating some short haul flights as well as long haul.
