We stayed at http://www.lagrandemetairie.com in Carnac last year. It was right next to a lake that was always full of fishermen. I don't know what the situation is regarding permits though.

The site that Eurocamp goes to at Verdelot has a fishing lake. It is miles from anywhere though.

La Grand Metairie at Carnac is around half a kilometre from the nearest fishing lake -- unless they have extended

I have fished that lake too and permits are got from the small shop on site

Ta for the heads-up tight lines

Hi Gray, the name of the site is Ferme de la Fee. We saw the most amazing sky when we were there last July as the site is so far from light pollution.

We stayed in La Croix du Veiux Pont ~ Nr Compiegne 4 Years ago. They have a large lake in the middle, although we didnt fish ourselves we did watch Fishermen catching rather a lot of fish. Some of which were huge ( well i thought so)

I've just remembered another site we stayed on which has a fishing lake. It's near Joinville in the Champagne region and is a few miles out from anywhere. It's part of the Castels Group and it's called La Forge de Ste Marie. We stayed there for overnights going from Zeebrugge to Annecy and back again. We had planned to spend 5 nights there on the way back but it was too remote for us with an 8 month old and a 3 year old in tow. The site itself was lovely though.
