Friday night at Fort aguada

Hi i know there has been lots mentioned on this great night out but i was just wondering if anyone has ever seen children there before? Im only asking becaue this year we stopped at the Taj and was eating in one of there restaurants and saw what looked like a great time being had by all. My daughter will be 11 next time we go and i wouldnt mind going as i never get a chance to let my hair down on hol as its only the 2 of us. I cant drink alot as im a bit of a light weight when it comes to it but good food and a bit of a boogie sounds great.

Hi Sunnypop,
Yes they do have children at the Friday night buffet/caberet at the Taj, the food is marvelous (as it is in many places in Goa), and plenty to choose from; are you stopping at the Taj? if not Daytripper do the evening for a very reasonable price, its something like £6.00 or the equivalent and you get picked up from your hotel and taken back.
Martin it is not really a party as such but an excuse to get dressed up for the evening and have a very good time.

It is a very good evening, and the entertainment is geared towards children, the last time we were there there was a magician, a dancing poodle, besides a group, the drinks are a bit pricey compared to the rest of goa, but a good night.

Thanks yes we stopped at the taj which is gorgeous, i had read on here it was a great night out and then forgot all about it when we were there. The friday night we saw it across the beach we were the only people eating in the restaurant wasnt until we finished i clicked what was going on i felt a tad jelous as it looked fab. At least now i know for next time thanks again. Anna x

Taj-Friday Nights

Great nights , been going for several years.Excellent food,eat as much as you want,and good entertainment, usually a group and some acrobats.

Highly recommended and for the kids.

Drinks a little expensive but nothing to worry about.

As Newbutt1 said , use Daytripper, all organised. You don't have to get dressed up, its still Goa , maybe a posh hotel but still very informal.

Beautiful setting - fantastic nights.

Hi sunnypop,

If you're staying at the Taj again, you may well be able to pre-book a specific table for the Fort Aguada buffet as it also belongs to the Taj group. We stayed at Fort Aguada 4 years ago, and guests were able to reserve the best tables by the pool.

Thanks Heather thats good to know we walked over to tha Fort aguada quiet alot it looks beautifull but a bit hilly for me over that side even with the free taxis. x

can you reserve a table if your not a resident but book direct with the hotel and not through daytripper

We are looking forward to trying the night at Fort Aguada. I think its about £8.50 per person which is great value. Plus its something different to do.
I think Irishcolleen will be visiting as well. We can have a wee cocktail together :glynis

Thats a deffo gemma 33 but you can only go to the fort on fridays so we may go on 24th not unless you can book with daytrippers for the 17th.....has enyone ever booked before they got to goa for the fort Aguada

Coleen and Gemma, are you sure it has to be booked or can you just turn up....

Can you let me know when you arrive and where you are both staying and are you travelling with other half , partners etc....

We arrive on the 12/11 will be staying for 4 weeks at Melodious Waves Sinquerim and I am counting the days. I have given my hubby the visa forms as he just loves going the IHC. ?He does a job lot on the day he gets my sisters and her old mans also.

Hi Lizzy. someone posted a month or so ago saying you could book thru Daytrippers and they did pick ups in Candolim, Calangute and Baga. The bus takes you there and then brings you back. I am not sure if you can just turn up? but maybe someone from the forum will advise on that one.

Me and my partner also travel on 12th Nov from Mancester and we are staying at the Phoenix Park in Candolim. Irishcolleen travels a few days after us.
