more confusion! easyjet's normal hand luggage rule is any weight you can lift as long as it fits in the box at checkin - so where has 6kgs come from???
This whole thing is totaly confusing - maybe when they have actually completed the takeover it will become clearer...!!
OH is interested in the legal stance of having booked and paid for flights that are not on BA's system.
Thanks David for confirming the regulatory approval thing!
That now leaves the refund issue, after speaking to the helpline a few mins ago, this is likly to take place at the end of december, do not hold your breath as this keeps moving. They have confirmed that I will be entitled to a full refund but WHEN? until such time thank god for overdraft facilities.
The email that I received is nothing more than a survey, just seeing how much they are likely to have to repay the public. Oh and if it all falls through then my flights with GB will stay the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fed up KAZZZZZZZZ
I have just received the email, that has been previously mentioned, press this button to cancel, ths button to convert my booking! I am having a laugh about this as I cancelled and received my refund in November! The email says "You have received this email because you have a booking on a flight that would be affected by this change." Maybe I get two refunds?!!!!
received my email too, but only for the outbound sector of my flight. Have clicked the cancel button, so hope now I get an email for the inbound flight!!
Yes mine was for one way only, most strange!
Maybe not so strange - when I spoke to GB on Monday they said my outbound had been cancelled as it was being transferred to Easyjet but I was still booked on the GB return flight two weeks later! They explained they were cancelling the outbound flights first!
That makes sense now as my refund came in two lots, but I thought it was per person not per flight.
For those concerned about flights to Tunis, it appears that British Airways has announced (at least in Tunisia) that they will be operating five flights a week between London and Tunis as from March 2008 on board its Airbus A319, leaving Gatwick at 11.55 and returning from Tunis at 15.30.
Do you mean "departing from Tunis at 15:30" as I can't see a A319 that leaves Gatwick at 12:00ish returning at 15:30!
Cheers,
Jet.
Good news Aslemma - at least you will now have the choice of Easyjet, Tunisair or BA
Yes, departing Tunis at 15.30 according to my information, which will mean there is time for breakfast in Sousse before catching the train to Tunis. I doubt if these flights will be showing yet as I've only just received the info from Tunisia, but perhaps Dazbo or one of our other experts can shed more light on it. I also can't see how a plane which leaves Gatwick at 11.55, can take off again at 15.30, especially allowing for the time difference
LGW - Tunis is a flight time of approx 2hrs 50 mins. If times are in GMT (ie not local times - z), then given EZY's 25 mins turn arounds, a 1530 GMT departure sounds about right. Given that Tunis is GMT +1, the departure would have to be 1630z to be fesible. The other possibility is the flight isn't reciprical, it's a 'W' rotation.

As an eternal optimist I choose to be encouraged by the information as the more options we have the better in my opinion.
sorry! I thought you meant EZY with the mention of A319's. In that case, given BA's operations and 1 hour turn-arounds, there's no chance the return flight can depart at 1530z, it would be 1645z at the earliers.
The information posted doesn't actually make sense. It suggests the flight originates in Tunis, and the return flight lands 40 minutes before the flight leaves! I would take it with a pinch of salt until the flight times are offically released.
Darren
It will be interesting to see when this is firmed up, particularly as to which days they fly if it is only five flights a week. An hour either way is no problem and it will be good to have a choice of airlines, preferably in competition, whether on price or service.
I received an email from Easyjet today announcing new routes for Summer 08, which appear to be the GB flights. I checked my Dalaman flight and the GB timings appear on Easy's site - total cost of the flight for 3 pax is £1200 whereas I paid just over £800 to GB! I then went on to GB's site and tried to 'book' flights and it same up with an error message saying Dalaman was not one of their destinations. On checking my account on BA's site, it is still showing me as having 3 seats on the GB flight! What a mess! I am assuming the takeover is now complete as Easy are offering the GB routes/timings including the longer routes such as Paphos, Sharm and Dalaman. Has anyone heard anything?
I've just had a look and London/Tunis is not listed amongst the new routes Easyjet is advertising for the coming season. My booking is still shown on the BA website however. I, too, should have thought the take-over would have been completed by now but no-one seems to have any definite information.
Easyjet have released details of new flights with seats going on sale as of today. For more information about the route announcements, many of which are former GB routes,
