genuine fakes

You want genuine fakes? Then you're going to the right place!! I've bought handbags by the dozen - Prada, Chloe, Jimmy Choo, Miu Miu, etc, etc - just have a good look at what you're buying 'cos they quality varies but I've had some fantastic leather ones and the most I've ever paid was just under £30 for the Prada one but it's massive, fantastic quality and everybody admires it. Clothes - what do you want? It's all available - Ed Hardy, D&G, Chanel, G-Star, etc, etc, etc. This time I got a fantastic genuine fake Links of London sweetie bracelet for £40 - it's unbelievably heavy and you can't tell it from the real thing. Watches - Rolex, etc, etc - and they last. My other half got a genuine fake Rolex Oyster and it's still going strong after three years with only one battery change. If you like shopping, you'll have a ball - just remember to haggle. Have a top price in mind that you're prepared to pay (make it reasonable, you don't want to insult people) and don't go above it - but do be prepared to pay it if you get an agreement.

If you can have a good look at the kind of bags etc. you want to buy before you go. I am a big LV lover and there are definite tell-tell signs of an obvious fake. Also, if you buy a rolex don't take it to a jewellers in UK to change the battery, you won't get it back!

Everything in Turkey can be faked ,there is no copy rights there .You can get good and bad fakes ,you can tell the quality of the clothes by feel .The good fakes are the best you will get anywhere , everything is copied right down to the smallest detail .G star jeans £16/20 per pair ,cost here £120 and that is only one item .You will always get the people who frown apon them and say they are rubbish ,if you ask the same people to spot the fakes from the genuine side by side they wont be able to do so .I have proven this many times.

That is why I said have a good look at the genuine article before you go. With handbags there are usually 3 or 4 things that bad fakes won't have - the way the handle is stitched to the metal rings, colour of lining, straight and even stitching etc. I have a Louis Vuitton Deauville bag that would have cost about £800, my sis got me for £40 and it fools everyone.

You just have to be wary of what you buy. Three Ted baker t shirts for a tenner are obviously not going to last more than one wash! I got a pair of D&G jeans in Dalyan, that lost their shape, colour and the label within two washes. My daughter got a few Lacoste tops she still wears two years later. If you get a chance with the clothes, feel the material and try and check the seams etc if you can. Sunglasses, well I got a pair of cracking Ray Bans Aviator for £8 and they lasted about three weeks!!.
Good luck with the hunting though!

Also check what you are actually buying.

They will have items on display that you can touch and feel and then you will be given pre-packed T Shirts in plastic. The quality of the ones they let you feel is very often superior to those that are in the packs that are of an inferior quality that you take away with you.

Always ask to get the pack opened, then you can check the quality and the size.

Use the market i have T shirts still going strong from Kussadsi last summer , my wife paid 20 lira for 3 handbags all are leather , be wary in the shops they try to tell you that the shirts etc are the real deal and ask more for them when they are the same as the stuff on the market ,also if there is a Cruise liner in the price of stuff in the shops goes up be sure to let them know your not on a cruise they will drop the price st8 away .

Kussadi is a great place to visit and stay enjoy your holiday .

I've bought Lacoste & Ralph Lauren polos that are definately as good as the real thing in Turkey but there are definately varying qualities. The pre-packed 3 or 4 polo shirts for £10 that almost all shops & market stalls offer....are garbage. Loads of missing details that show them up as obvious fakes & they also lose their shape after a couple of washes.

On the other hand I've paid £7/8 per polo shirt, for fakes with all the correct details & I have stuff that I'm still wearing years later.

lormullen, you'll be able to get the dolmus from Olu up to Hisaronu for the market, but should find better quality fakes in Fethiye. Watch out for the rogues on the market as the odd one will switch goods as they bag them - or try to.

here's a question!

Does anyone know if any of the markets go on till night tme? Just been thinking, the thought of trailing around the shops/markets in 40 degree mid august heat, not so appealing!
Also, what about the shops, will they be open at night time?

thanks!
