I pack it in my checked in luggage - I know that you are not supposed to carry umbrellas in the cabin so assume this would be the same. When it came it was packed in a cardboard tube type of box so I keep it in that so that it isn't damaged and I can just put it away with my other holiday stuff when I get home!
Thanks prawn, will begin my search on e bay then. Not going away till august so plenty of time to look.
