I would suggest taking the 'Hop On Hop Off' bus tour, and visiting the People's Palace and the Hunterian Museum ........ good cafés in both as well!

The Barras, you can pop in on your way the the Peoples Palace.

Hi Dave. As the other David has said, it all depends on what you are interested in. If you like museums, you really should get along to Kelvingrove Art Gallery, which includes the famoud Dali painting, "Christ of St John of theCross", among many other interesting exhibits.

You can then couple that with the excellent transport museum in the Kelivn Hall, which is directly across the road from the Art Gallery.

Loch Lomond

hi, we have booked our train tickets to glasgow, we've never been before and we all want to do different things and have approximately 7 hours to do them all in !! Now I like shopping, gotta go to lush and primark ! 8yr old daughter loves museams , inlaws love art gallerys and hubby is happy to do all !!
Any reccomendations for these and a nice restraunt for lunch would be really appreciated !

Depending on where you are travelling from you will be arriving in either Queen Street station or more likely Glasgow Central.
Both Lush and Primark are very close to both stations. Lush is located in Buchanan Street and Primark in Argyle Street which is at the bottom of Buchanan Street and both are only 10 minutes apart .

Museums wise, I would recommend Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery which is at the start of Argyle in Partick and is probably the easiest to get to in the time you have.
You have a couple of options in getting there, you can take a taxi which will take about 8-12 minutes or you can use public transport.
The busses are very regular along Argyle Street so there is no problem with them, or you can take the Subway.
The Subway is very easy to understand as there are only 2 lines going in opposite circles CLICK HERE FOR MAP so you if you miss your stop just stay on and do the grand tour you want to get off at Kelvinhall Subway Station and the mueum is a 5 minute stroll away. The Subway trains run every 4-6 minutes.
There is a subway station in both Buchanan Street and also at the bottom of Buchanan Street on Argyle Street in St Enoch Square.

If you are interested in transport you could combine a trip to the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery with a visit to the Kelvinhall Transport Museum which is just over the road from it.

Food wise you have soooo many options I don't know where to start, if you can say what type of food you would prefer we can give you a list of places to go
